Virgin Holidays Tracking Order Status

Traveled to New York with Virgin. When we arrived at the hotel, we were allocated different (worse) rooms to the ones we’d paid for. Hotel refused to move us as they were in dispute with Virgin over rates. Took it up with the local rep (email only as they don’t provide a telephone number). After racking up lots of roaming charges we managed to get an amount refunded. Virgin wouldn’t provide a copy of the invoice so we couldn’t confirm if this was the correct amount. They also gave us some Virgin points as a goodwill gesture which aren’t worth a great deal. Can’t see us using the points as we probably won’t travel with Virgin in future.

Amazing customer service. I spoke with Kate@fly-virgin. Friendly, knowledgeable and just an all-round lovely lady! The virgin hotel NY is also incredible value for money. 5 stars ⭐️

Tried to book for Maldives holiday. Price was reasonable I think but could be cheaper but main thing was the local knowledge just wasn’t there so why pay the premium price? They didn’t know much about specific resorts and had to go based on what they saw on the screen. No island rep on actual island. Again all fine expect for the. The price should be cheaper, what is the premium price for? Also booked me flights that were not ideal when I later found out that for sea plane transfers you must arrive before 3pm on island and the flights virgin suggested were before 3pm but very close so any delay would have meant we would be stuck on the island. This is something only an experienced travel rep who knows Maldives would know

Ill attempt to keep it brief. I booked an expensive Vegas holiday for me and a relative on upgraded seats, lounge, the lot BUT something that wasnt made clear was that for some unreal reason, Virgin dont guarantee you your seats being together!! Yes, I know, in hindsight that was simply too much to ask on a booking made for two. Sadly we have to start our exciting holiday of a life time on completely separate rows of the plane. Ill never get to go on a holiday like this again with my brother and Virgins poor policies on seating has made sure that I cant have as much as a conversation with him for 9 hours to kick start the excitement. Terrible.

Yet to go on this holiday but I booked before with Virgin and never had an issue and impressed so far! For our forthcoming holiday in February just had call from a Virgin representative in Orlando to introduce herself and let me know when and where I can find them when we fly out and asked if there is anything else they can assist with! Great customer service and considering I have had to go into Virgin and amend this holiday 4 times due to Covid and other reasons I have never had to pay admin fees and the lady instore was always so helpful and sympathetic as it was a nightmare to keep changing this as holidays prices have increased so much since we first booked this break for 2020!
