My host arranged comp 1 night stay. on arriving at reception they said room was chargeable as their system didn’t show it as comped . I asked her to contact my Host only for her to tell me to do it , I tried to show her email from my Host and info@MGM confirming my stay as comped she refused to even look at it insisting I go away and contact my Host . I asked to speak to her supervisor who was busy . Fortunately I re emailed my Host who confirmed stay as Comped and issue resolved. It was around 14.45 that’s 15 minutes before check in time and I asked for a room assignment and was refused as there was ‘no rooms ready’ . I told her I find it difficult that a Hotel with over a thousand rooms none was available 15minutes prior to official check in time. I again asked for a supervisor and then receptionist pretending to speak to someone on the phone said ‘oh there is one room’ . I was assigned a room on 5th floor overlooking the tram line but by then I didn’t care as following day I was moving on to Wynn for 3 nights to their Tower Exec which was perfect from beginning to end.

My room was huge. The only thing that I didn't like was the shower floor - it looked old and rusty. Other than that everything was great. Also, I don't understand why do they use so much perfume in the lobby - it's impossible to breathe... The smell of that perfume was too sweet and strong to my taste.

Amazing stay, couldnt ask for anything more. We lost our passports and the staff were so helpful in retrieving and saving them for us. Perfect location to the strip and ideal if you want to be out of it a little bit

When I arrived to hotel I was hit by surprise. Attendant made me aware that they have valet parking only and it is a $25.00 per day., buy the way I used the valet only for one day and being charged for 2 days and had to ask front desk to remove the extra charge. Just because I had luggage with me I had no choice rather than agreeing. The building is nicely designed and inviting. Front desk said that reservation with home-away must be refunded and new one will be created...I do not know why they did it, but I had to agree again. Took my keys and went up to the room. Room is nice too, but I was hit by the second surprise....there were only two towels provided and we could not find towel hangers anywhere in the bathroom so I had to request new sets of towels. Restroom has no separate door and poor ventilation. There was only one sink and drain was really slow. In the lobby there is a coffee shop but no tables or chairs. Well what can I say, it is not a 5 star hotel.

This was one of the best hotels we have stayed in, bettered only by the Langham in London. Right in the middle of the action on the border of the north and South strip and walking distance to every other major hotel in Vegas. A handy walkway takes you to the Bellagio Hotel out the back where you can catch the Cirque de Soleil show and you can walk around the courtyard to the Aria which is featured in the recent film "Last in Vegas" which has it's own casino in the lobby. It is right next to the most prestigious mall in Vegas the newly opened "crystals " which is also an architectural masterpiece in its own right rather than the boxy space you would normally expect. Intimate bar in the lobby and well appointed lifts lead to spacious and modern rooms with a bed so amazing they leave you a brochure because you may like it so much you just might want one for home. Some rooms have a view of the famous Bellagio fountain but ours didn't but the view was still panoramic enough and easily made private by the electrically operated blinds. All staff were attentive and knowledgable but the only let down was navigating the doors with our cases. Curiously the rooms did not have any tea or coffee making facilities and you have ask for them. When the kettle arrived it was an old fashioned whistling type that you have to put on the stove which was strangely out of keeping with the modernity of the rest of the hotel. It took 10 minutes to boil and we just gave up after that and didn't use it again. If you are listening Vdara please invest in some of those new fangled kettles that work on electrickery as they are all the rage here in London. If you can't do without your hot drink fix there is a Starbucks and cafe in the lobby too and plenty of taxis available to take you where you want to go as destinations in Vegas are always further than they look. We will definitely go back! A non smokers haven.
