As a Salon who has used Treatwell for over 2 years, I have a love/hate relationship with the app. Treatwell used to be the dominating booking platform for everybody due to the vast marketplace. Other companies have followed suit and have made their own version of Treatwell (Fresha being the main one) and have become incredibly strong contenders - completely outshining Treatwell. The main problems with Treatwell: 1. They do not protect the Salons in any way shape or form UNLESS the client is booking directly via the app or on the Treatwell website. If you make a direct booking, or the customer books via google (if your Treatwell is connected) or your website, they can book without having to pay anything. This causes thousands of no shows a year as we have zero protection. 2. Monthly fee + VAT, along with 35% + VAT for new customers coming directly from their marketplace. Not the biggest expense but still worlds away from better software structure. 3. Customers mainly use Treatwell for Deals now. It has turned into a Glorified Groupon over time. Not an ideal look for any high end Salon. 4. Although they have brought in no-show protection (if the client books directly via the app or on the Treatwell Website), many other booking platforms are still miles ahead by taking deposits. Deposit structure is much better. If your Client books with you directly and you are using Treatwell platforms - consider this completely unprotected. 5. Treatwell sends your funds twice a month. There is no way to change this. With Fresha you can send daily, weekly, bi weekly or monthly. 6. Consultation Forms. Many, and I mean many salons have hounded Treatwell to offer Consultation Forms when a client is booking. Every other booking platform has this feature, apart from Treatwell. 7. When I opted to use Fresha for my website + google bookings (due to the protection), I synced this with my Treatwell Calendar so I wouldn't have overlapping bookings. Treatwell, for some reason, have removed this now so I have to bounce from diary to diary blocking times. Treatwell have done this to prevent people using other platforms, but they are not strong enough to have as the only booking platform, hence why many salons are choosing to leave treatwell. With all this being said, if you are just starting and want to gain clients, Treatwell is a great starting place. But it is not forever. Until they start to really listen to the Salons and keep up with other software, they will slowly decline.

Treatwell is amazing. The app is very easy to use and always shows me salons 'near my current location' which I wouldn't otherwise know about. I have booked multiple times through the app for my hair appointments. I have had an issue with the venue cancelling for no reason, but, this is the salon's fault and not Treatwell. I couldn't fault my experience with the app or Treatwell itself. Would highly recommend to all my friends and family. One thing I would like to see though, is more salons in my hometown.

I booked a hair appointment and tried to reschedule online 3 days prior to the set appointment. I went online through the Treatwell platform and when I pressed the button to reschedule it somehow managed to book me in for an appointment that day with 5 mins to spare. How on earth am I supposed to make that, and of course I didn't make it and so got charged the full £46. for not attending. I got in touch with the salon immediately and explained the confusion and offered to come in on the original day, and heard absolutely nothing back. Very poor customer service. What I don't get is I didn't even give my card details for this particular appointment, so they must store them from past transactions for future use, which I'm sure I didn't agree to! Is that even legal? I feel robbed, and will investigate the legalities of this further. I wouldn't mind, I wasn't cancelling, I was rescheduling. I will never use this platform again.

Ik wil bedrijven niet specifiek ontmaskeren, maar ik heb salons meegemaakt (zelfs bekroond met Top Rated) die afspraken vaak niet respecteren. Sommige salons veranderen voortdurend de tijden en stellen afspraken uit, wat mijn schema ernstig beïnvloedt. Als ik een bevestiging of herinnering ontvang van mijn afspraken van Treatwell geloof ik het niet meer omdat het niet klopt is. Dit is onprofessioneel.

Dopo tanti anni a cercare un gestionale, ho iniziato ad usare Treatwell qualche mese fa e non posso più farne a meno. Gestionale molto semplice e intuitivo, io e il mio staff abbiamo iniziato subito ad usarlo senza problemi. L'unica pecca è l'assistenza che risponde più velocemente nella chat che al telefono, ma tutto sommato ho sempre risolto tutto. Prezzo buono, sms di promemoria gratis sono il punto forte.
