Difficult start trying to get access to the website but seems to have been a tech problem.

Giving Truss the platform and oxygen to explain her cognitive dissonance was just such an obvious - and regrettable - step for The Telegraph. It's made us nervous to see how easy it is for a politician of such incompetence to acquire power that does so much damage to the UK's international reputation. Shredded. Completely shredded. Her 'Mini-Budget' was just an obvious next calamity in the wake of this politician's pathetic incompetence. You only had to see her performance as foreign secretary in front of the foreign affairs committee to see her incompetence in all its glory. Constant deferring to an army of support civil servants behind her, vaccilation on everything and apparent slurring (alcohol assisted?) with vague answers. This 'managerial' executive would never have been promoted to this level of incompetence in private industry. Why didn't the previous 'CEO' of Foreign Office Limited not run her financial plans past the OBR - or the FD? Why did she not even know about LDIs? A massively used bond derivative used extensively in the finance sector? Why didn't she allow her advisors to 'model' her budget through finance modelling software? - Why did she not let the BoE have advanced sight of her untested, naïve radical plans? Because she was so isolated from her advisors - she sacked the head of the treasury - she operated in a dangerous isolated silo in Greenwich with secret squirrel Kwarteng. That's why. These are just obvious precautions in the private sector such that she would have been eaten alive if she'd been employed there. Her arrogant entitlement and privileged attitude to expenses had long preceded her too - with its concomitant disregard for good housekeeping - that it was just obviously dangerous to leave her in 'first-lord-of-the-treasury' charge of the finances. Could she not read the number 10 Downing Street letterbox? Ignorance is bliss - Ignorance is Truss -and the instant demise was written in the stars - and evident at the foreign affairs attendance. I sent an email to Downing Street to advise them to send out an aide to Waterstones to buy two copies of the Ladybird book on Finance - and present one to Kwarteng on his return from the IMF summit in the US. And to keep the second copy of the Ladybird Book on Finance for herself. And to find a quiet corner for a long understanding read.

I had a subscription at £12.99 per month, received email to say it would soon be increased to £19.99 per month (£239.88 p.a.). Definitely not worth that much in my opinion, so I phoned to cancel. The adviser then offered me a new yearly subscription at £39, which I accepted. Very annoying tactics, they were obviously hoping I would swallow the inflated monthly price.

Great news paper. Quality journalism. Daily updates. Using the Digital Version. Get what you pay for at the end of the day.

I have been a printed telegraph reader for 25 years buying at the shop. It's now less newsworthy now just a selling newspaper full of ads and fewer articles most of those being paid for by an advertiser. So I can't take most articles seriously as they are paid for in some way. Every holiday review or every "This is what you must do" article is wrapped up with a company trying to push something. Update I have just finished reading 15 April telegraph can it get any lower? Yes it can! After reading the travel section it's so poor just made up of lists now every week to fill up the lack of articles the rest is taken up with full page adverts and I just look again and could only find one genuine personal holiday article about someones reminiscing about Athens. That's it! Update! Travel section is markedly improved this week 29/4/23 some great stories that's what it's all about. So I guess that's why I still keep reading it when it's good it's really good!
