Soft Surroundings Tracking Order Status

Honestly, I do not understand the low marks for Soft Surroundings. I always find lovely, well made clothing in the store in my area. The store is attractive and the staff always friendly and helpful. I get more compliments on Soft Surroundings clothing than any competition. I’ve ordered the bedding and their bamboo sheets are they best I’ve ever found. I’m ordering more sheets tonight!

My experience with Soft Surroundings has been positive. I have ordered a several clothing items from them over the past 10 plus years. I find their clothes to be soft as their name suggests. I find the returns to be easy to deal with. I have had only positive interaction with their customer service reps. I would and will order from them in the future.

I have shopped at this store for years. Half of my clothes were purchased there. They have sizes XS-3X. I love their designs (not all are to my taste or compliment my figure). Fabrics and quality are excellent and things generally wear well. I have *never* had a less than top-drawer experience in a store or with online customer service. I am lucky to have a store nearby, but plus sizes must be ordered online. They ship to the store for free, and returns are very easy back at the store. I am short and wide, and their tunics this season all come to my knees and still don't flatter me if they were hemmed. Otherwise I would have bought many more things this summer.

I love most of the Soft Surroundings clothing, especially as a tall woman (5'11''), but (!) recently the online customer service representatives are far less than helpful and seem impatient and bored with my concerns. Good customer service is so important because our local SS store recently closed, so shipping and returns are more important than ever. This was my go-to for clothing, to the tune of hundreds of dollars each year, but now... I'm less than thrilled and will look for other alternatives.

I have long been a customer of Soft Surroundings but have to say I'm starting to back away. Some of the merchandise is fantastic and some is so-so. But the sizing is all over the place. When sizes cannot be reliably purchased, it isn't worth the aggravation. The shipping price is steep in my opinion -- there is no offer of free after spending a certain amount like you exerience with so many other companies. So, between paying for the shipping, waiting an inordinate period of time to receive the merchandise AND then to find the sizes are two sizes smaller than the tag says .... the investment this company asks of its customer just too much -- time and money, flushed! They need to allow reviews on their website, or they need themselves to post guiding information on each item -- i.e. runs small, large, or whatever. The back and forth of merchandise is ridiculous, and the time commitment makes it even worse. As an older person who likes to still have a current wardrobe, the deep sales with Soft Surroundings are very helpful to me. But the "sales are final" caveat makes it very risky. During this current sale I've accumulated 3 blouses that are easily 2 sizes smaller than marked, and 4 pairs of pants that are high rise/ankle and site 4-5 inches ABOVE the ankle like flood pants, not crop but flood!! They need to clean up their act. Descriptions need to be accurate, and quality - which includes correct sizing - needs to be precise. Otherwise, this company is digging its own grave with lost customers.
