Monoprice Tracking Order Status

I have purchased cables from Monoprice before and they have been ok, but given my recent order, which I still have not received, I would urge caution if you need anything sooner rather than later - make that MUCH later. Current order was placed and paid for on 9/25. Confirmation email said "order will be processed and shipped shortly." A 9/29 email said it was expected to ship 9/29. I received nothing further, so on 10/03, I checked the site to find that the package had been "tendered" for shipment on 9/30 and was now across the border from Monoprice in Ohio - only a few states left to go.

Got what I ordered in a timely manner.

Stereo cable when it worked the other end did not work at all when inserted all the way into female end of Jack. Customer service said they would replace the cable and send me a new one since I was a long-term customer. Within 10 minutes of receiving the notification that they would send me a new cable I replied to them that I would be moving out of the hospital I was staying in and going home and I would not be at the original mailing address for more than 2 days and supplied them with the change of address. After three or four emails from a customer service person who could not seem to be able to write a complete sentence she informed me that they could not change the address unless it was an order placed more than 6 months ago. I stated to her repeatedly that the original delivery address was an orgon transplant rehabilitation facility and I would no longer be there. She didn't seem to be able to comprehend this and told me to ask a neighbor to forward my package to me after my neighbor picked it up. Maybe somebody at the hospital will be able to figure out who it belongs to and forward it to me but I am not holding my breath. After all these years of buying things from monoprice I guess when they moved from California to Kentucky they had a really bad time trying to find anybody that graduated from high school to work in their customer service department I will not be doing business with monoprice ever again.

Ended up with a desk with a missing piece. Resolution through customer service was going to take 3-4 weeks to get a replacement desk just for one little missing piece. The product is nice and exactly what I wanted but I can’t recommend buying from a company that is unable to resolve customer issues in a reasonable amount of time.

Monoprice sells good stuff at very fair prices and backs it up with responsive customer service; that's all i ask for and it's what Monprice has always delivered.
