Du blir lovad en tygkasse när du gör beställningen som gåva, vilket kändes som en kul överraskning. Därför känns det rätt snopet när du inte får den, fast det står på min order att jag har rätt till den. Jag hittar inget telefonnummer till deras kundtjänst. Själva badrumsmattan jag beställde kändes mer som en handduk än matta, väldigt tunn bomull som i en handduk och det finns ingen behandling under som får den att ligga still mot golvet. De flesta kommer nog undra varför jag lagt en handduk på golvet. Men jag gillade färgen i beige som passade bra till mitt blå golv. Väldigt nöjd med grytlapparna däremot.

Maria provided superior customer service after FedEx reported my package delivered, which it was, but to a different town than where I live. After frustrating interactions with FedEx, Maria took over and said she would take care of everything, including getting me a replacement out asap. From Australia - Great clothes, great style, great quality - all let down by poor customer service. The online returns process is not representative of a global fashion house. In short, when returning an item (at your cost), they don't offer a credit note - but rather a promotion code. Which means you're limited in what you can use that "credit" on - i.e. you can't use it on sale items - you're forced to only use it on full priced items - not something you'd expect from a global fashion house. To be frank, I've actually never encountered this type of returns policy. Additionally, the online customer service team is slow to respond. I don't think they've ever answered the phone once in the numerous times I've called at different times of the day, different days - even after leaving messages. I've missed out on sales promotions on account of delayed responses. Again, not something you'd expect for a brand like Marimekko. In future, avoid the online shopping unless you're absolutely certain you're going to keep it. The retail store staff are usually fantastic but not always practical to get to - which means less Marimekko shopping for me because I don't want to deal with their online customer support. Which is a shame because I've ended up shopping a lot less with Marimekko as a result of my experiences. TLDR - great fashion, great clothes - let down by customer service and bizarre Returns Policy.

I have never had any issues receiving any of my orders to Scotland in time, and every time the items being it textiles or kitchenware have been in perfect condition. However, considering their reputation Marimekko should invest more for the customer experience by standardising their packaging as currently it is a hit and miss. For example orders send directly from Finland come, as expected in a nice Marimekko-branded cardboard box but the items that are sent elsewhere- in this case when I received my Unikko- bedspread order, it was simple wrapped in an ugly plain grey bin bag look alike plastic. No Marimekko logos just my address attached into the plastic. It was such a disappointing experience. I REALLY appreciate beautiful packing and really would expect this for all Marimekko orders. In addition I’d like to see Marimekko start using more environmentally conscious packing materials such as replacing plastic tape to paper one. And naturally stop using grey ‘bin bags’ for aesthetic and environmental reasons.
