I had been a member before it was bought by enterprise and I needed to do it again because of the access to vans. Each there was a major issue Ie van not there (took 2 hours extra of my time to sort): then the last time the van was parked elsewhere. When eventually found it because I was in a hurry (look after mum with dementia so have finite time) and because it took so long to find the van, i didnt take a video of the van and I have been charged £100. Communication has proved fruitless and annual is up and I have gone on website to cancel subscription and just cost a message that they’ll be in contact. Poor technology function and I have shouldered the cost.

After a bad experience with an another car rental company I was informed about enterprise via a few friends and to hire my next car from there. Suffice to say the process was very easy. I made a reservation and picked up the car the same day in Bolton UK despite it being peak holiday season. There was no reservation fee which was pleasant for a change. The sales manager, Tom, made the whole process much simpler and even managed to upgrade us, a family of five, to a bigger car. Great service! Would use their services again.

So far so good. About as easy as it gets to rent a car without the hassle of going to a branch. Me and my fiancé have rented a half dozen times now and only encountered one problem so far, which was resolved my customer service within minutes. The car club helpline has been immensely helpful and efficient. There’s a good range of different vehicles available, all in good condition. Be sure to follow the damage report protocols to avoid surprises down the road. Time stamped photographs (iPhones automatically timestamp) are your best friend.

I have business membership, and have had this for over 10 years. Issues I've run into in the past 12 months: - vehicles frequently not at their designated locations - vehicles I've reserved weeks in advance are often cancelled or re-booked to a different vehicle with no warning (once this happened on the same day I was due to use the vehicle) - it can take up to half an hour to get a staff member to answer the phone - fuelcards in the vehicles frequently don't work, which means you need to pay for fuel on your own dime, and get a refund. With business membership, this means waiting for them to post a cheque (which once took 5 months) - most recently, Enterprise stopped collecting their monthly direct debits from our bank account. When contacted, they told us all was fine, and the bills had been paid. Six months later, they discover all is not fine, and they have just taken 6 months of bills at once, with no advance warning So yes, Enterprise Car Club is a good idea in theory. They do employ some good people - everyone I've spoken to on the phone has been great. But as an organisation, they are slow, inefficient, out of touch with their own communications and incompetent. I've given them 3 stars because the staff are pleasant. The organisation itself deserves only a 2. Their accounts department deserve nothing at all.
