I purchased a Japanese knife, it is the sharpest knife I own, cut some garlic crown and must have angled the blade and a chip came off the blade (1/8"x3/8"). I contacted the company and the service I received from Jennifer, was just plain great. They repaired the knife and it looks great. Jennifer kept me abreast of repair and shipping status Could not be happier

I ordered a set of Messermeister Oliva Elite knives. When it arrived it was clearly an open box item. The knives were not wrapped securely in the box, they were just loosely floating around in there. Looking at the paper they were meant to be wrapped in, it was obvious the box was previously opened. The tape on the paper had been cut. The knives were not packaged in a careful way whereas the block was still in cellophane. I reached out to customer service. They were responsive but ultimately dismissive. I give it 2 stars because they did ship quickly. Extremely disappointed that I received an open box item. If I wanted open box I could have bought it on eBay much cheaper.

I ordered a Demeyere roaster that was on sale for $200 for a Black Friday special. It came promptly. . but I realized it was scratched up inside. After reading these other reviews I am wondering if this company gets factory seconds or returns that they sell. I was surprised to see the level of scratches on what I thought was a brand new roasting pan. . . .

The knife arrived promptly, with both the internal and external boxes perfectly intact. The knife blade had a few issues, which could not have have happened during shipping. There were scratches at the blade edge near the heel of the knife, and on both sides. Having to grind them off on the ura side was particularly disappointing.

If there was a 10 star, I would rate it so. I received a defective initial order. Then I reached out to customer service who responded immediately and promptly replace the defective Dutch Oven at no cost whatsoever. Now that, is what you call top notch customer service. They have this happy customer’s business in the future for sure.
