Avianca Tracking Order Status

Perdi mi conexión por demora de un vuelo. Me pusieron en otro vuelo al dia siguiente cambiando la silla que había pagado. No se encargan tampoco de los gastos que generan esos inconvenientes. Parecen muy desorganizados y el personal poco capacitado, uno te dice una cosa, otro su contrario. No recomiendo y no volveré a viajar con esa compañia.

Terrible airline. I chose seats online (we're a couple, traveling together, purchased together, checking in online together) but after checking in at the airport realized they had separated us and put us in middle seats. When I asked the agent to change it, she said we would need to pay 80 euros if we wanted to sit together, even though I chose those seats and they were confirmed online. Even after pleading with her as we were a couple traveling on our last 10 hour flight together, she said there was nothing they can do, even on a flight that isn't full (all she had to do was decide and then change them). Then despite it being a major airline, they still weigh bags and measure at the gate and try to charge exorbitant fees if you are even 1 kilo over for a small bag. Avoid at all costs.

Vuelo Santo Domingo Bogotá Buenos Aires. Grupo familiar de 13 personas (8 mayores y 5 menores). Imposible hacer web check in. Al haber varias personas con mismo apellido, el programa no aceptaba el procedimiento. Al llegar al aeropuerto, vuelo sobrevendido, Los padres de 72 y 71 años, no tenían asiento de Bogotá a Bs.As., En Santo Domingo no dieron solución. En Bogotá, se solucionó 5 minutos previos al despegue. Tanto a la ida (Bs.As. Bogotá Santo Domingo) como en el regreso, nos encontramos en situación de que TODO SE COBRA! hasta el agua y la manta para cubrirse. Los asientos no se reclinaban, la atención de los auxiliares fue muy mala, el entretenimiento era por WI FI a los teléfonos. Los hombres de estatura superior a los 1.75 metros no lograron estirar las piernas durante las 6 horas de vuelo. En resumen, muy mala experiencia. Seguramente NO VOLVERIA A VOLAR EN ESTA EMPRESA.

Booked a trip with Avianca from Bogota Colombia to Melbourne Australia, the last leg of the trip was booked through Avianca with United Airlines from Los Angeles to Melbourne Australia. The trip from Bogota to LA went according to plan but the last leg of the trip from LA to Melbourne was diverted to Sydney because of the weather. 30 minutes from the end of a 15-hour trip the announcement was made that we would travel to Sydney because of the fuel situation on waiting to land at Melbourne. We were told that they would book us on another flight from Sydney to Melbourne to complete the trip but while checking in we had problems with the ticket credit and couldn't board our flight. Avianca refused to pay for another ticket to Melbourne and after 3 hours United Airlines decided to pay for the ticket so we could finally get home.

This airline used to be one of the best. Recently I have seen a significant decline in their service. I have experienced a few delayed flights and the customer service has really declined as well. I am not sure if they have just become too big to really care about their reputation or their customers. I usually use Avianca in Colombia and although customer service here is a bit different I really think the airline needs to take a look at the business model. The online experience is not great either. Buying bags online is a difficult process that often ends up with the customer purchasing very expensive bags at the counter. Trying to call and speak with a person is futile and paying for a flight with anything other than a Colombian bank issued credit card is impossible.
