Appalling service following cancelled flight

Flight was cancelled and we had to pay to rebook our seats together. Aer Lingus won't even discuss giving us our money back and it seems that they choose what exchange rate to use when calculating your expenses. Forget about getting back what it cost you after they cancel your flight. My last two messages to them have been ignored. Cabin crew were great but support staff are appalling. Edit: A few hours after this review was left I received an email and Aer Lingus have now refunded the cost of booking our seats. It is such a pity that it wasn't dealt with much sooner but the refund is very much appreciated.

Flew Dublin to Alicante last week. Great service on ground and in the air. Great flight but the luggage fee's are pure theft.

Very Poor experience

Very Poor experience Recently Travelled from Birmingham UK to Boston, Massachusetts. Was attracted to this route although connecting in Dublin, as it was a journey in the same direction (Unlike going through Europe) and US Immigration in Dublin. Purchased Business class Tickets for 3 adults; One of the group is disabled so we save up and travel infrequently to afford this. Out bound 13th April 2023. Was surprised when we got the e-tickets that the first leg of the journey was Basic Economy class. I was even more surprised as this was a basic category not even having the facility of pre booking seats and we had to wait till we got to the airport and accept what seats that were available Flt EI 3265. No consideration whatsoever that this was supposed to be a Business class ticket. The flight was delayed, scheduled arrival time 1:30 in Dublin arrived at 3:00 o'clock. We were given the facility to unwind in the Business class lounge after US immigration formalities. However the lounge closes at 4:00 o'clock so we hardly spent half an hour and very little refreshments available as it was closing time. At 4pm all the passengers were sharply herded out!. The scheduled departure to Boston further delayed by over an hour Flt EI 137, which meant that we were sitting or standing as it happened, for over an hour in the general waiting area and wondered why we had paid Business Class fares. I must mention there were several flights scheduled to leave later and made me wonder why the Lounge closed so early. The transatlantic journey was good , in flight service very friendly and helpful, but food basic. Return journey on the 25th, Transatlantic In flight service, good food again basic. The last leg Dublin to Birmingham was, as previously, basic economy class with no facility to pre book seats or any other enhanced options for business class. Overall experience poor, having travelled in other airlines in this class previously. I would give three stars for the very helpful and friendly staff inflight and the facility of US immigration in Dublin. Will we fly Aer Lingus again - unlikely after this experience. 0 star for the Birmingham / Dublin sector ** for Transatlantic sector UNABLE TO COMMUNICATE/ FEED BACK to Aer Lingus on their Website

FLIGHT EI044 on 25th April. I want to say the biggest thank you to the amazing air hostesses on Aer Lingus who helped me when I was suffering with severe burns on my face. I was very panicked and upset and they really looked after me. Thank you Ffion and the other lady I can’t remember the name sorry! I work in the travel industry as an agent and I will sing the praises of how amazing your staff are.

I have waited 87 days for my refund of…

I have waited 87 days for my refund of a Business Class booking. Flight is in mid June 2023. Have contacted Aer Lingus four times. No communication from Customer Service. This airline boasts that refunds will be issued within 7 days. Avoid Aer Lingus. Please choose Air Transat or Air Canada. I never, ever expected to recommend Air Canada, but this experience has left me financially fragile.
