Trying to order by phone was a nightmare. The phone clerk was nearly impossible to understand due to a strong accent. When I tried to say something she continued talking over me and then there was a silence until she spoke again. It seemed like she was waiting for something to translate what I was saying before she could respond. She kept trying to sell me more products even though I told her I wasn't interested. She would continue the whole script until she finished and then I'd say NO! This continued about every third product so it took a long time to order a few things. After I gave the last item number she started another sales speech and I hung up. The order did come. Don't order the magnifying glasses - they don't work at all either with or without your own glasses. They cost $7 but the return charge is $7 so there's no point, you get gypped anyway. I won't order from Starcrest again.

I did receive most of my products, but I did order several. I called and they sent the 2 products I didn't get. Everything is just as pictured. My only complaint as of 11/28/22 is that the prices went up so much! I am very surprised! The low prices were the best thing about Starcrest, next to some of their unique items.

Starcrest is a great company. #1—they have a terrific phone answering system—the Best. During this past Christmas, I had to call them several times, and I got connected to Customer Service in, no lie, 3 minutes. Their Customer Service staff is genuinely nice, helpful, accommodating and patient. I spoke to about three different staff members, and they all had the same qualities. I have purchased from them for many years. They carry interesting merchandise and all of it has worked as it should. They offer free shipping, and you need to purchase only a couple items to get it. I highly recommend Starcrest. Thank you.

I have nothing but really good things to say about Starcrest, and I note that none of the negative reviews here mention the products, or the policy of how they handle returns. Yes, sometimes the hold for customer service can be 15 minutes, but every time I've called, when they answer, they are super, and for items I report don't work, OR that I no longer want, in most cases they willingly offer refunds without even asking to ship it back. And the items: I have found just oodles of neat products I never even thought or heard of before that I find are wonderful, plus great prices on things that I decide to order when I see them in their catalogs. Also, Starcrest is one of at least 5 company names, each with their own catalogs, that share product numbers, so one can order products from ANY of those catalogs by calling just ONE of the companies' numbers, and get all products (mixed and matched from up to all 5 catalogs) in a single order. I typically call Starcrest, so that's the only company whose customer service I can vouch for, and most of what I end up ordering comes from their catalogs, but I have found items in the other companies' catalogs that I have ordered through Starcrest as well. So for product selection, neat products one never even imagines that you want once you see them, plus all the other products, with a no questions asked automatic refund policy, and excellent customer support that can sometimes require being on hold for a while (only [slight, in my book] drawback) before they answer, I would give 6 stars if that were an option.

AWESOME COMPANY, I truly enjoy shopping with this company as they offer UNBEATABLE prices, on top of that ,they are constantly offering different FREE GIFTS with each and every order, and to add to that they offer free shipping with an order of any 4 items-all the time.I had to call customer service for the first time because i rec'd a damaged item,which is very rare with this company, the woman i spoke to was extremely apologetic , very friendly and helpful and was more than happy to actually ,over compensate me for this mishap, which is- very very,rare fr companies nowadays This was my first experience with their customer service but i was extremely satisfied with the results
