Tried to order a part online

Ordered a part online that their rep claimed to have checked was in stock and would ship and arrive to me in three days. Three days came and went with no part. Several days later I received an email claiming the part was now on backorder (I suspect it was on backorder from the get go). After multiple attempts to speak to a person and not go through a horrendously long, tedious, complicated auto system, I was told the part was on backorder with an August 1st ship date. Sounded too good to be true so again I reached out to Sears Parts Direct who informed my that that was not an actual ship date and they would be updating me on the ship date. Interestingly, their website shows the part as in stock AND backordered depending on what screen you're looking at, with a new estimated ship date of August 22nd, which again could not be confirmed. All information given by their reps was confusing at best, deceitful at worst. It's also deceitful to claim you have a part in stock, and again claim that you've personally checked to ensure it is in stock, collect monies, and fail to ship that part as promised. Sears, you can do better. Order canceled. Thanks for wasting my valuable time.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM

Like all the other reviews I wish I had seen before ordering, this part order is a nightmare. A simple part, a pulley, site said was in stock. Three weeks later still wasn't shipped. Multiple calls all ended at an automated system that said the part was shipped and the expected delivery was a week ago. After multiple calls a week later, and pressing the option of "something else" several times I got a live person! Was told, in broken English, the part was back ordered. I asked for a refund as I order the part elsewhere and it already arrived. Told me I would receive an email on how to cancel the order. Still waiting for the email. Guessing I got scammed out of $40. This company really needs investigated. From the rest of the reviews it really does seem to be a scam using the reputation of Sears.

This shopping experience and order was…

This shopping experience and order was a compounded mess. I accessed and entered my model number, only to discover there were 5 separate revision codes that resulted in some parts changes in the catalog. As the page was unhelpful in showing how to determine which was which, I accessed 'chat'. The online consultant was polite, but apparently limited by scripting. She did not have, or did not use, any information beyond what I had access to on the provided web page. She assured me that the part I needed was the one I had identified, but failed to recognize that there were revision variations. Further, she assured me that the part was accessed through an interior panel, which it isn't. Further, she wasn't aware that there were two separate valve bodies on my model, which I discovered AFTER going to a different supplier and watching THEIR video instructions (the one Sears provided was incorrect), pulling the appliance and visually checking. The page stated the item was in stock and would ship immediately. I was notified a few days later that the item was 'Backordered'. I returned to cancel the order and found the page would not allow this, but instructed me to call a direct number. I did so only to find a lengthy computer queue whose sole purpose was to follow a script, avoid allowing me to cancel, and send me a text regarding status. After an hour of this nonsense I managed to find a hidden description noting that cancellations online had to be done within one hour. Manual cancellations had to use another hidden form, which I promptly submitted, only to be informed it may or may not work and I would be notified by text. The text I did get, on the 19th, stated it would be delivered on the 18th, which is what I was told when I ordered. So...my credit card was manually keyed and charged within minutes of the initial order, so we'll see how this goes. This site is NOT the Sears of old; it is a macabre caricature. Stay Away!

Make sure you know what you're getting…

Make sure you know what you're getting into when dealing with this company. Ordered a refrigerator door asked many times if it came with all necessary components was told yes, It came with none no handle no seal no strip nothing. Aside from the fact that the customer service rep could not handle the questions we asked and did not send the parts we perceived we ordered they lied to us for 3 weeks about delivery time tracking numbers, And absolutely everything else that could happen and go wrong did go wrong. The accounts were not notated by the Customer service representatives nobody could see that we called repetitively. The experience started on April 24th we just got the shell of a door today on May 2nd 4 hour refrigerator. What we were told over the phone was that all necessary components parts and hinges would be delivered no later than April 27th.

Fast shipping. Great price.

I ordered an oven door replacement. They had the best price by far (almost $200 less than direct from manufacturer) and low shipping costs. It arrived less than 48 hours after I ordered it! It was exceptionally well-packaged.
