laplink – Cashback, Rebates & Rewards

I purchased laplink pc mover pro and due to no fault of my own I have had multiple issues with a new PC I ordered from Bedrock computers. These issues are still not resolved and Inhave decided to purchase a new PC elsewhere instead. Laplink did agree to reset my license once however I didn't manage to transfer all my data and since I last tried the drive is now defective! I have emailed customer services however they are insisting I will have to buy a new license even though I never benefited from this one. I would suggest trying elsewhere as it was also very very slow.

I have not updated my computer for ages and needed to so gave this a try. My first attempt was less than satisfactorily mainly because I didn't do all the things they say you should do (like turn off windows defender and anti virus, do a scandisk etc). Anyway, I had a glitch and thought I would try the help desk. They were amazingly helpful - and NO waiting! I rang at 4.am once and they were there and put me in the right direction. For me it was a great experience. Everything transferred seamlessly, yay.

Their software wouldn't work with my Wi-Fi networking, so I bought their Laplink USB 3.0 cable, more than doubling the cost of transfering to a new machine. With the cable it worked really well. I then wanted to transfer a large number of data files from several computers, so I thought I'd use the USB cable to do it. It then turns out that Laplink expect me to pay for a PCMover licence every time I want to transfer any files from one computer to another! So my quite expensive and almost unused Laplink USB 3.0 cable is now completely useless to me!

100% pleased! Great software. Recently had to upgrade a computer in my office - the most important one. I followed the instructions and set it up and went home. This morning had a few minor tweaks but everything worked out great@ It even analyzed the new machine and required an update before running to avoid corruption. Very very pleased. That I can't believe the number of one star reviews that this has gotten. I can't somebody leave two or three or four stars? Does all the negative ones have to be one? Makes me think that it's competitors trying to downvote the competition because it really worked great for me. It even remembered the history of files dealing with certain apps, the only thing it didn't bring over was passwords. That literally took about 5 minutes to get around

I just used PCmover to transfer my programs, files and settings, from an old laptop to a new one. The move was faultless, and everything was transferred and ready to use. I had a few questions before starting the transfer, and got instant help on these, on more that one occasion. I can only assume that those who have written bad reviews about this product failed to carefully follow the good step-by-step instructions. I was told it was important to use a laplink cable, and maybe some users think they can save money by not using this. As far as the price is concerned, it does seem a lot. But the product saves endless time, and the support behind it must cost a lot to provide. I personally would recommend PCmover.
