Wow, some other people have had some terrible experiences! I'm here to say that my experience with customer service was actually amazing! I wasn't able to receive my credit card because I'm at college and my parents are overseas, and I found another bank with almost as good of an interest rate, so I switched over a few months ago. However, I never actually closed the account. Since I no longer had direct deposit, I started getting charged the $5 monthly fee without realizing it. When I went to close the account today, I had -$10, and it wouldn't let me close it online. I called customer service and someone picked up right away. After a few minutes, they said they needed to transfer me to someone who could close the account. This was also fast. The rep at first told me I would need to get my balance up to $0 first, but when I explained I had not been using the account and didn't feel it was fair to charge fees on that, he said he would ask for it to be waived. Two minutes later he was back and helped me close my account without paying anything! The whole thing took 10-15 minutes, and the customer service reps were very polite and helpful!

This has been the absolute worst bank experience I have ever had. I was robbed in October 2021. I contacted GO2 bank and provided a certified police report as well as at least 6 different emails they required to verify who I was. Had to dispute it 5 times and was denied 5 times. The last denial was December 28th, 2021 when they said their "investigative team found it fraud and that I had falsified the police report. I told them they didn't investigate anything because they NEVER even contacted the detective working my case. I still haven't gotten my money back and I'm contacting an attorney. I e been transferred, hung up on me more than I can ever remember. THEY ARE CROOKS and Green Dot should be ashamed to be associated with them and be investigated for fraud and theft along with GO2 bank

Great bank for direct deposits ad paying bills online. Never had a fee from them, and it protects your big bank cards. Extremely pleased with GO2 as a prepaid debit card!
