My order was fantastic -- it came quickly and all in one box! I love my bedding so much! I did have to return some clothing items that didn't fit, their return process seems a bit clunky and outdated, and I agree with other reviews here that their shipping costs (and return costs) are outrageous! Especially since my order was over $700! I have seen that they do run promotions pretty regularly for free shipping, so I will just wait for those if I order again. It is very penalizing to charge $8 to return items. Especially when there are great brands (Boden, Sezane, Reformation, etc) that offer free shipping and free returns and some of these are overseas! This is why I only give 4 stars -- I will only order with free shipping and if I know for certain that I won't be returning my order in any capacity. Otherwise, I will take my shopping elsewhere. :)

My order was stolen off of my porch. I called Garnet Hill and have been a customer for years. They replaced the item promptly and were incredibly courteous. I am a customer for life! Thank you for your kindness.

I frequently give family members gifts of their wool and cashmere items. They absolutely love them. When I do need to make a return, it is fast and painless. This winter, I was shocked when several on-line businesses ripped me off on returns. Garnet Hill remains steadfastly honest and values its customers.

This is overall a very good to excellent company. They stock high quality and great looking clothing, shoes, and housewares. Prices are reasonable, especially if you shop the sales or use their frequent discounts. Once in a while I get a bad item (for example, Corky’s sandals) and return it for a refund; no questions asked. Honestly, I wouldn’t buy sheets or towels anywhere else!

Well since writing the 1-star review and things went really south with a return at GH (after another return had been disappointing after Christmas despite being a customer since they started sending a catalog a long time ago!), I've gotten a couple of really helpful people on the phone there who admitted that there was a problem this time and went out of their way to fix the issue. And they did it even as I was complaining to the person that they gave the worst customer service! They still really went out of their way to acknowledge the problem and talk to me like a real person and make it right. So now i feel i had just ended up dealing with some inexperienced people these last couple of times (oh, and my MIL also got a couple of winners ;) but if you get a supervisor or someone who knows what they are doing at GH, you probably will get your issue resolved in a positive way like they did for me today. So i'm changing this review from 1 to 4 stars. I'm glad about it because they do sell some beautiful things and now I think if i have another issue I should just call back again to see if i get a better person on the line, or just ask for a supervisor.
