In this age of automated customer service and frustrating bots, I’m usually writing negative reviews, but Cuisinart was a breath of fresh air! I recently contacted them regarding a broken lid on my Dutch oven, and the experience was incredible. The customer service agent was clear, quick, and efficient. After providing the product details and serial number, they took my contact information, and within minutes, I received an email confirming that a replacement was on its way. No drama, no stress—just excellent, efficient service. It was such a pleasure to have an issue solved with ease. Highly recommend!

AWESOME customer service! A piece broke on my meat slicer. Called and they mailed me a part promptly. The phone call was so pleasant and smooth. Unfortunately, the part they sent wasn't the right one and the part I need isn't available so I called and they are sending me a replacement meat slicer. So easy to talk to customer service and get help!!

I purchased a 5 knife set. I had a small problem with a knife in the set. I sent ONE email, and a week or so later, I had a replacement in the mailbox. They back their knives up for sure! Thank you!

This is a review of the Cuisinart DCC-1150BKFR Classic, thermal carafe automatic drip coffee maker. The wife and I drink a lot of coffee 2-3 full pots per day, needless to say we have consumed many 2 pound bags of whole bean coffee and have worn out our fair share of coffee makers. The DCC 1150-BK is Cuisinarts classic basic simple to use automatic drip coffeemaker. Unfortunately it is a discontinued model but can still be found on Amazon and eBay as of the writing of this review. It has been replaced with an improved version the DCC-1170. The DCC-1150BK is a basic automatic drip coffee maker. It features a 10 cup thermal carafe, A sneak a cup feature, 1-4 cup small batch brew feature, a cleaning cycle, 24 hour programmability. This coffee maker uses a #4 cone filter and comes with a gold toned reusable filter. I prefer to use paper filters as I like a clean cup.without sediment. This coffee make also features a charcoal water filter. Everything you need and nothing you don't. This coffee maker has a thermal carafe and this is one of its downfalls. Minor as it may be it will not keep coffee piping hot past about 2 hours no matter what you do. One of the other downfalls if you can call it one is the brew temperature. My normal routine is to preheat the carafe with hot tap water, then use that water as my brew water. 50 grams of medium grind coffee with 40-45 ounces of hot tap water will result in a consistent brew temperature of 192°F. While this is no where near the SCA recommended 195-205, this coffee maker brews an outstanding carafe of coffee, better than any coffee maker I have had to date, no matter the brand or roast of coffee. This coffee maker will make crap coffee acceptable. The shower head is of decent size and soaks the grinds completely. This coffee maker brews fast, it is the fastest brewer I have owned brewing a full 10 cup pot in under 8 minutes. This coffee maker is pleasant to look at although it is nothing special. It takes up a minimum of counter space. 90% of the materials on this coffee maker are plastic and the fit and finish is above average. The clock on this model is accurate but is not backlit which can make setting it somewhat of a challenge. After brewing is finished the coffee maker will give 5 beeps signaling the end of brewing and the coffee maker will shut down. Many have complained about the water reservoir being hard to fill, I have not experienced that. Many of the downsides of the DCC-1150 have been addressed with the newer model DCC-1170. The DCC-1150 has been discontinued and replaced by the DCC-1170 and you should receive similar results or better with the newer model. For those who want the DCC-1150 it can still be purchased on Amazon and eBay. I highly recommend this coffee maker. For all the things it has going against it, it brews the finest carafe of coffee I have ever experienced and it is a durable appliance still going strong after 7 years of service.
