THESE BAD REVIEWS ARE SUSPECT! GREAT SERVICE, GREAT COMPANY!

My entire extended family has been with Credo for decades with no complaints. My dad and mom started with them decades ago on landlines, then added cell service and got me into Credo. Now my husband and I have been with them for 3 decades. They’re fantastic! Jeez – these reviews are impressively fake! But they’re also outright lies. Just to address a few -- I’ve gone on trips out of the country and used their services, I’ve switched phones, moved, taken my phone number with me, changed addresses, and over the decades I’ve been with Credo I’ve rarely had any problems or complaints. When I have needed help, the customer service reps have been super friendly and helpful. And as far as service, I mean come on – most cell companies use the same towers, and Credo’s service is exactly the same as everyone else’s. We have great service. And yes, of course they have weekend customer service, just like everyone else. These terrible reviews are so similar, they seem like a coordinated attack, probably because this company makes no secret about being progressive. But what that means is that we all vote – that’s right, all members vote at the end of each year on where we want the profits to go. I LOVE having a say in where the profits go - unlike both other big phone companies which gave money to a certain president who fomented an insurrection against our government. And we love that they’ll even write letters to our reps about issues we care about, with a click of a button, if we choose. We can round up to increase our impact each month if we choose. I mean it’s a really cool company. It costs more. And I’m willing to pay more for great service, but knowing that my money isn’t going to a faceless corporation that’s giving millions to an orange billionaire who couldn’t care less about me...PRICELESS! Thanks Credo. Don’t believe all these B.S. reviews. Credo’s awesome.

Credo is a GREAT company

Credo is a GREAT company. It looks like a lot of the bad reviews are fake to me. My wife and I have been with Credo for over 30 years. They started as a long distance company, under a different name, and then also became a cellular provider. We've never had any issues with customer service, or anything else. Plus, they use Verizon's cell towers, so the service is great. Using Credo, I know that my payments are going to a company that supports causes that I believe in. They give their profits to non-profit organizations around the country. If you scroll through the bad reviews, they all look like the same people wrote them. Which is too bad, there's no reason to trash a company just because their politics are different from yours. I support and highly recommend Credo Mobile!

Highly Recommend Credo

In my experience, Credo is an excellent company. Very helpful and efficient customer service, the cell service is solid and reliable and they even provided me with a free Apple Watch when I signed up.I have been a mobile customer for over two years and appreciate all aspects of their business, including their donations to non-profits-many that I contribute to also. I find it hard to understand the number of negative reviews I have read and they make me wonder if some are legit.

[update] Similar experiences to other reviewers' complaints

I posted a mostly negative review a few days ago. It was premature, because I was anxious about having to deal with may have turned into a customer's nightmare. I am pleased, instead, to report that Credo made good on the story as outlined below. Their customer service sent me a message with a case number and said to call. I made contact almost immediately upon calling, and the representative was both capable and pleasant. The issue was resolved, AND some assistance on a second unrelated issue was provided as well. They called me back to verify that things had progressed as requested. So, I have to change my original 2 stars to 4 stars in light of Credo making good on this issue. I withhold one star because I am still a bit concerned about the initial website experience that led to the confusion. In spite of all the bashing here, at least some good stuff is coming out of the company. Original post below ======================== Wow, I am taken aback by all the negative reviews here, as I too have been a long-term Credo customer with no problems and only one (successful) customer service interaction (some 7 years ago). That said, I have just experienced a situation similar to several of the earlier complaints. Specifically, I wanted to order a "new" device (actually a refurb) to replace my decrepit old one. I signed in as a current customer. During the shopping phase on their website, I looked at new options for data plans. My current plan is small at 3 GB (really?!) and I was getting dinged for going over the limit. It didn't matter if I opted to continue with 3 GB, or upgraded to 15, or 45, or unlimited. All of them were $70/mo (and that's a significant discount from my current charges). OK, change me to unlimited. I got an immediate acknowledgment of the change. Seems cool, yet this was "confusion point number one". Next, I went on to find that new refurby. I found a plain vanilla one for about $500, so I decided to put in the order. This is where the tale gets twisted. After most of the buyer info was put in, I was asked if I wanted to keep my old number or get a new one. "Keep", of course. Then they asked for the current account number and PIN. Well, heck, they should have that, but okay I can go look for it in another open browser tab (mind you, my phone is very cranky from old age, like its owner). Somehow, after finding the info and navigating back to the original page, that page refreshed and took me ALL the way back to the beginning. Sigh. Went through the process a second time. After reaching that spot that asks whether to keep the old number or not, I didn't even have the option to "keep" (it was grayed out). No fudging or replay would help. In retrospect, that's where I should have called it quits from "confusion point number two. But, I went through with the order. To cut to the chase, that action resulted in a second LINE being opened and not just a new device. The hardware was delivered as expected, and I had to wait a couple days to get to opening the package. I ran into a number of other "confusion points" in trying to bring the new phone to life. The most poignant one, looking back, was that both phones seemed to be working at the same time. I found out 2 days later (by accident) that I did, in fact, have a new number. So, my current situation is that I have tried to contact Credo, and I had ONLY the option to wait for a call-back. It has not occurred, even though I received an email acknowledging that it was scheduled "shortly". At least I know now that I will need to stay on top of the situation. I fear the worst, given the other reviews shown below. I suspect that this organization is in deep business trouble and that it has recently (last 6 months?) cut short on its previously acclaimed customer service. With that in mind, I would recommend caution to anyone who is looking to sign on. This experience has been even worse because at least one important communications app is also getting messed up due to the existence of a second unrecognized phone number (but that's another story).

I had a great experience with your rep…

I had a great experience with your rep Jada, who helped me activate my flip phone. I give her/him five stars!
