Great product and almost feels like the real thing. My favorite is the VR mode.

Ordering was a smooth process. I’m in the UK and placed the order on the 18th with dispatch being confirmed on the 19th and the courier (Yodel) delivering on the 25th (same month). I didn’t think this was bad considering the product is being shipped to the UK. Packaging was solid with all components well secured. There is a Mac version of the software but it is not compatible with old High Sierra so I installed on my windows partition. Installation was straight forward but note that when you create the account this is just an email and password (unless you want to sign in via Facebook lol) and when you redeem the game in the launcher use the password supplied in the manual. The username in the manual is only used when logging into the game when you’ve launched the game itself. The sleeve inside the device does have a small entrance but with some lube this is not an issue - although was disconcerting for a moment the first time. I am a bit careful with the base/charging as the base has 4 pins protruding which make contact with the charging point on the device when placed correctly onto the base. It is obvious how they should be placed but does feel like a potential weak point. When in place pressing the power area on the top starts the lights and the 3 minute charge/heating process. This works fine with the caveat that I don’t really notice the heating aspect so don’t expect much from that. There are other solutions if you require that (3rd party usb heaters for sleeves etc.) if you really need this feature but I do think they should modify the website/marketing description around this feature. The software (version 2.50 at time of writing) seems to work OK. I have an NVIDIA 1080 so put all the graphics up to max before playing and was not disappointed. Sheila looks good and I liked the voice acting. The sync with the device works well and the controls are straight forward. There are a number of modes. Story mode gives you some pre-amble / set-up dialogue with Sheila before things get intimate and there is an alternate mode if you want straight in on the action. There is also VR option but I don’t have a headset yet to test this feature. I plan on getting one soon though so will update this review in the future. The instructions are clear and straightforward- don’t wash the device in water ;) Only wash the sleeve itself after you have carefully removed it from the device. All in all I think I got what I expected when I ordered the device. Considering the cost of a fleshlight (£60-70), paying £134 for Virtualmate didn’t seem excessive. What I would like to see is the software continue to develop with new chapters and stars added. Sheila is decently executed but variety is the spice of life.

This device is pretty neat and works as intended. I had no shipping issues, but did need a replacement due to one of the pins getting stuck in the charging base. This was replaced pretty quickly. The core device itself feels quite "tight" but once on (with some lube) feels great. The synch with the software is pretty good, impressive even, although there is room for improvements overall. For example, the heating element needs better positioning, the base and core need a less fiddly connection, and the software could use some refinement. Aside from that though, I am happy with the money spent (my own) and I'm glad they are constantly updating this. They just released the SDK so that the core can be used with other software.

A good game! The Virtual Mate devs are releasing updates frequently! The device 'Core' feels just awesome.

It has potential... It is too glorified by marketing campaign. I have a rtx 2080 super. I recommend the following setting. At least 2560 x 1440 Vsync off Gamma correction .9 Go to advanced setting set everything to cinematic... Save And play... Noticed 3 aspects to improve. Sheila hair needs better texture Skin need gradual sweat effect to improve experience. Noticed a strong line over the neck between head animation and body. It displays the model inconsistency. The face animation is really good and decent. Definitely I can tell it is a work in progress, not a final product. As a c++ programmer, I would like to see if I can help to improve its internal gears. /* Feb 08, 2021 */ Tested 2.5.0 version... (Cinematic mode ONLY) First thing interesting... - the skin level of its face improved quite well, you can see skin imperfections more defined. - the out of sync of lips with the dialogue have improved. - the challenge took by the company with new chapter... it was worth it. It is not perfect... but it is a welcome upgrade; specially the change of scene. - DVA skin from Overwatch looks toony, but it is funny. - At last, I can see Sheila walking. Also... I can't zoom during storytelling... I would dare to say it is a FMV (Full Motion Video), and it is a dangerous play if it is... - the teaser of playing with TWO Sheilas, it is worth a TRY for the company to develop. - The teaser of changing your OWN avatar, a flavor I would love to play also. Downside things to tell: - Video Mode (Beta)... is trash, not sure why virtualmate bother with this mode so far. - The Core... its heat capability is... almost inexistent. don't bother. - While changing Gamma correction values... every time the game changes my video values from "Cinematic" to "Low" ... it's annoying to set them back. - Quitting game, it does not close virtualmate.exe at task manager; so one have to end task manually before closing game launcher. Virtualmate says it is a bug from the game engine not from them. /* I'll keep posting my experience, liked to know they are pushing this product forward */
