I purchased my cameras 14 months ago, unable to connect all 4 even with highest internet speed, we settled with 3 running. Constantly having to put them back on line, which is super annoying. Now 14 months later one camera is not working at all. You get what you pay for! Also during purchase it never states you have to pay for a recording service which is 5 bucks a month each camera. I would not recommend this device.

The camera goes offline frequently. I could deal with that since I have another security camera but finally after it being off line I decided to do another set up to get it working. After several attempts I call customer service and still the product would not work. After checking their records, the determined that I did purchase it directly from Zmodo, exactly 3 days prior to one year. They would not honor the warranty replacement even though they could see that I “installed” it within days of receiving it. It seems unreasonable that I am not being compensated for those three days which were obviously shipping days. This product did not work optimally and I would not recommend this product.

I would say you get what you pay for. I purchased 4 outdoor and 2 indoor cameras in December 2019. Easy initial setup but here we are less than a year later and I'm having all kinds of problems with both indoor and outdoor devices staying "online" and actually capturing "motion." The customer service is hit or miss. I've spent over 6 hours in the last 2 days troubleshooting with several tech reps and by myself. Zmodo originally blamed it on my internet provider and speed but I've had my provider reset my devices and then I ran a speed test that fell well within Zmodo's "ideal" limits. I'm not sure if they did an update to their system but I can't get my devices to stay working and 3 of the 6 devices are within 15 - 20ft of my WiFi router. I'm really disappointed in these devices. I purchased on Amazon and there were 100s of reviews saying similar but thought I'd give it a try for the price. To be honest, I really wish I would have just spent the extra money for Nest. I have a few friends and family members who invested in Nest and have no issues. I wouldn't recommend unless you're open to reinvesting in the Zmodo camera system every year.

I bought the Zmodo cameras with sound and microphone. I’ve talked to persons at home without using the phone - comes in handy ... I check in on the chickens outside. The cameras do not notify me of every movement, but I am aware of anything major. They must be within 70 feet of the router. They go off line at times and the pictures are not that good at times. I gave five stars because the use is free and it gives me peace of mind to check in to see if the kids are home from school, if my dad is still snoring in his room, if anyone is in my driveway or at any of the doors, .... I have ten cameras and the monthly fee is free. I don’t expect bells and whistles for a service that is free. I have had this system for a little over four years.
