Last William Wood Watches Reviews from Trustpilot

About two years ago I became interested in the British watch industry. I have been collecting watches for some years and have examples of the usual big name brands. As I began my research, one of the first brands to grab my interest was William Wood. The tremendous history that fueled the creation of the brand, the passion to continue to aid the fire service and the dedication to the legacy of a heroic fire service career make this brand really stand out. I have been an admirer online since the first glimpse into William Wood. Being a Brit living in the USA, the brand became more and more compelling to me as I read more about them and saw what the stood for and models they were launching. Fortunately, I was able to attend the British Watchmakers Day in London and I had the pleasure to spend time with Jonny Garrett. When you hear the history, passion and enthusiasm first hand, it’s just inspiring. With my wife getting just as enthused as I was, she helped me choose the triumph heat edition with the red strap, which was shipped to the USA and I received within a few days. It is spectacular, looks great and is incredibly comfortable to wear. It is truly a privilege to wear something that has had so much thought, effort and meaning put into it. William Wood is so much more than just a watch brand, it’s an experience. My only regret is that I didn’t purchase one of these outstanding watches sooner!

Gorgeous watches and fantastic customer service! My husband is a huge fan of these watches and I couldn’t decide which one to get him for his birthday. I ended up buying 2 because the customer service was so amazing and the watches are so unique. I bought the Fire Exit and the Bronze Sapphire. Every detail on these watches, as well as the packaging, is really special. I’d recommend joining the WhatsApp or emailing this company - they are really lovely!

If this were only a beautiful watch, it would likely still be worthy of a five star review. In the five or six months since I've owned it, many people, including strangers, have stopped me to ask what kind of watch I'm wearing. But the value of this watch far exceeds its elegant aesthetic or functionality. While there are many fine, remarkably-built watches in the marketplace, I know of none that represent the history this watch does. One of my favorite passages in any book comes from the opening of William Manchester's biography of Winston Churchill, The Last Lion. The setting is Dunkirk, 1940, where the British army is trapped, bombed and strafed by the Luftwaffe, and rescue vessels are being destroyed in the Channel. He writes: "The Royal Navy's vessels were inadequate. King George VI has been told they would be lucky to save 17,000. The House of Commons was warned to prepare for 'hard and heavy tidings'. Then, from the streams and estuaries of Kent and Dover, a strange fleet appeared: trawlers and tugs, scows and fishing sloops, lifeboats and pleasure craft, smacks and coasters; the island ferry Gracie Fields; Tom Sopwith's America's Cup challenger Endeavour; even the London fire brigade's fire float Massey Shaw -- all of them manned by civilian volunteers: English fathers, sailing to rescue England's exhausted, bleeding sons. Even today what followed seems miraculous. Not only were Britain's soldiers delivered; so were French support troops: for a total of 338,682 men." And then last year, many years after first reading the passage above, I saw an article in the Weekend Financial Times, saying William Wood was making a limited number of watches including parts from the Massey Shaw -- only 600 -- for the number of men it rescued from Dunkirk. When the product arrived, it exceeded my already high expectations. Remarkable packaging, beautiful watch and bands, numbered 18 out of 600. William Wood nailed it in every way. The product is worthy of what it is meant to commemorate. It is among my favorite things I've ever owned.

Unbelievable quality and service. Everything about this company is top class! Cannot recommend enough.

Purchased the Triumph Heat edition, blown away by the presentation of the product as it came beautifully packaged. I love the smell of the strap, it incorporates more than just a visual sense. Being a fire alarm engineer, this watch has a lot more of a sentimental value to me.
