Vinyl Me, Please Tracking Order Status

I have very mixed feelings about VMP. On one hand, I love the production quality of the majority of their releases, especially when it comes to their records of the month. The devil’s in the details and they make sure to pay attention to every single detail, and I appreciate that given the premium prices that they charge. On the other hand, as they've grown bigger, it seems like they've stopped caring so much about their customers’ music journey and started caring almost exclusively about their bottom line. Lately, there have been many production errors and delays in shipping while prices have gone drastically up, and they seem focused on trying to drain every last cent from the fans. For example, they will repress an album by a big artist after growing demand from fans, but instead of just making that album available for purchase on its own, they’d bundle it with another record from that artist that hasn’t been selling as well. And the thing is, most of the big fans who asked for this repress in the first place, already purchased that other record before, so now they are forced by VMP to purchase it again in this $100 bundle so they can have the original album they wanted to get. On top of that, if you are not a member, they will charge you $9.95 for shipping but then ship via USPS’s Media Mail service which is the cheapest and slowest option and doesn’t cost more than $4. I was a member for some time, but honestly, their selections are very much all over the place and more often that not don’t feature records that I want/need in my collection (let alone for $43) which makes it hard to justify the monthly splurge. Overall, I appreciate the effort they put in the quality of their products (for the most part), but I wish they didn’t indulge in these sneaky schemes to overcharge their customers. I understand vinyl is an expensive hobby, but it really doesn’t need to be as expensive as they are making it.

Dragged my heels with joining this after I read about it a while back but signed up this year as a treat to myself because they've had some absolute blinders as records of the month in the past. Am 2 records into a 3 month membership and the selections and experience has been great. Not had any problems with deliveries or defects yet but confident that these will be resolved quickly if I do. Have already changed my 3 month to a full 12 month membership at next renewal so you can't get a better endorsement than that.

I have bought over £2000 worth of records and box sets from them in the last 2 years since I've discovered them and shipped to UK, not saying that to brag, but just to verify I've been a long time customer. I'm not a part of their membership, I just buy individual releases every now and again. Several of the copies I've bought (Wu Tang 36 Chambers, recent Beastie Boys Check Your Head as examples) are considered the best versions of that copy available with regards to overall quality. I buy a lot of high grade audiophile pressings like Mofi UD1S and Analogue Productions UHQR's and I would put VMP at that tier of quality. Best jacket reproductions in the business along with Analogue Productions. Their Anthology box set series will introduce you to realms of music you never thought to check out, and the way they're done with incredible booklets and accompanying podcasts makes it a true experience. They currently press at GZ, and there's a lot of bad press of them which was warranted years ago, but certainly not now, quality is superb, I've never had to ask for a replacement, but if you do ever need a replacement due to a defect, they just ship one free of charge, they don't need you to send the faulty one back. I can't recommend them enough, they've helped me discover entire genres I would otherwise have missed out on, whilst gathering some of the best sounding copies available at good prices.

Very good. If you have a broad taste In music then the subscription is very worthwhile. There's a lot of people complaining on here that clearly didn't read the subscription details properly. Parcels often go missing once they arrive in the UK but that's no fault of theirs, and they always replace items or give store credit. I'm so impressed with VMP that ove changed my subscription to a 12 month one.

Really good quality exclusive records, had one record in the past go missing in the post but they sent out a replacement immediately. Kept subscription going longer than I intended as there's always something I can swap for. Definitely deserve higher ratings than what they've got on here atm.
