Vimeo Tracking Order Status

It's been a good service, but cannot say the same now. Customer support is useless

Here's one more VIMEO nightmare: They literally will not allow you to delete more than one video unless you upgrade. A message pops up that says: "you must upgrade in order to bulk delete." These people must be eating the putty off the windows they are struggling so bad for cash. Maybe if they ran their outfit a little more professionally, things would go better for them. The Golden Rule... do unto others. Vimeo should ask themselves: "would WE want to be treated this way by those with whom WE do business?"

Vimeo is an alright platform if you want to watch other people's video without worrying about being interrupted by ads.

I appreciate that it’s free and I’ve been able to view amazing content from very well known digital and 3D designers. However, if you’re an individual or a student who needs to upload content, just forget this website. You have to PAY to keep your projects private or else anyone with the link can view your work. This is problematic for student portfolios especially if you’re already paying for web hosting and on a tight budget. This is also problematic because a lot of Fiverr scammers are ready to steal work and pretend it’s their own. Wordpress plug-ins unfortunately requires third party uploaded videos on websites such as Vimeo, making it impossible for you to control the content internally and who could view it from where. This sounds like a huge, entitled opinion but the privacy option should be FREE by default.

Vimeo still holds up to being the best site out there for hosting videos and embedding them on a third party website. You're still able to upload and stream videos at a high quality with better encoding than its main rival. Vimeo had the opportunity of becoming the largest video streaming site a few years ago, however that opportunity has long passed. Vimeo is great for commercial use, but that's about it. Going down the commercial and monetisation route, whilst it may have been a good business choice, pushed the rest of market away to Youtube. If you go to the front page even now, all it shows is pricing, which might appeal to video streamers, but not the audience that would watch them. The tools provided to edit videos could do with a revamp. It's a bit of a mixed bag, because from a businesses prospective or streamers prospective, its a wonderful platform, but from most other peoples prospective, it's just, average.
