The Sill Tracking Order Status

I wish I could post a pic to show how gorgeous the large double orchid I ordered is. Absolutely exceeded expectations and was $150 less than a local florist. It arrived ahead of schedule on a Sunday. I was very concerned I made a mistake ordering from The Sill when upon my order confirmation I saw the processing time — I didn’t see how my order (a birthday gift) would make it to the recipient in time. When I tried to contact The Sill to first adjust for expedited delivery, their chat line was unmanned and the bot not helpful. They didn’t respond to my emails in a timely manner either so I tried to cancel the order entirely. When I did hear from them, they told me the plant was prepared for shipping. By this point I had read all the dreadful reviews here and was expecting the worst. But the plant arrived EARLY and is GORGEOUS — picture perfect. My friend is thrilled. Despite their slick branding, I believe The Sill is a small operation where the staff wears all the hats. I’m writing this review so you don’t get worried like I did because they’re very busy and not on their emails as fast as we would like. I was definitely annoyed when I did hear from them but DJ and her team were very professional with me and completely delivered. The plant is one of the most gorgeous orchids I’ve ever seen, no exaggeration. I will absolutely order from them again!

The Sill was the ONLY site I could locate with the size plant I was seeking. I was anxious about the plants and shipping due to the price. It did take a couple of days to hear back from them, and what I received was even larger! The shipping was great- received a day earlier than promised AND boxed better than any plant I have ever received. I LOVE The SILL!!

I've had past experiences with this company in 2022 and 2023 that have been perfectly fine. Plants shipped fast, in good condition, etc. They were always massively overpriced but I was fine with the up charge due to the convenience and quality. However, it seems like something has changed based on my most recent experience. I ordered a plant a month ago and never received a shipping confirmation within their stated timeframe. Then, I finally got an email saying that they shipped the plant to the wrong customer. I confirmed my address and they said it would be shipped out right away. A few days later, they emailed again saying the planter I ordered was out of stock and asked me to pick a new one. Again, they said they would ship the plant out soon with expedited shipping. It's now been another week and still nothing. I'm at the point where I want to cancel the order all together because this whole ordeal has been so annoying.

Ordered a Meyer lemon tree and a lime bush and both arrived in great condition. I've repotted them and can't wait to see how they do.

I was thrilled with my first plant purchases over several months in fall of 2022. However, my latest purchases over the summer of 2023 have been unsatisfactory. Issues include a poorly pruned pepperomia that I could not display until it filled out, receiving an olive tree stick with a few leaves along its length stuck in a pot, and receiving a broken pot. I sent a photo of the pepperomia and was told it would grow out of its poor appearance. When I sent a picture questioning whether the olive “tree” was truly what they meant to send, the response was that the leaves were green. When I reported receiving a broken pot under feedback, I never received a response. My last purchase in September 2023, I decided to order plants simultaneously from another online source and they arrived the same day. The difference between the Sill and Pafe plants startled me in regard to plant height and fullness. I won’t be ordering from The Sill, again.
