I had a bit of a shipment delay due to an incorrect invoice attached with my international order. The amount that I paid for the item itself should have been listed. Instead, total amount paid including tax, gift wrapping, etc was listed, which put my total amount over the limit, resulting in an import charge. I contacted Spinnaker for an updated invoice per the carrier’s request and was told it could not be done so I had to go back and forth with the carrier in order to get my item released without paying import charges. For future international orders, carefully make sure that the amount for the item itself is listed on the invoice, excluding tax, gift wrap cost, etc. If not, it is really difficult to prove otherwise to the carrier without an updated invoice from Spinnaker. Other than that, I’m enjoying my purchase.
