The Slug and Lettuce Tracking Order Status

I hope you don't mind your drink half empty when served, because that's exactly what you'll get here. Another of many establishments in Oxford serving as little of your drink for as high a price they can possibly get away with. Otherwise, nice place.

I had salt and chilli grilled vegetables at Bristol Harbourside. The tender broccoli stems were far from tender, I cook them myself so do know how difficult it is to get them tender and the sweetcorn was also very tough. I am beginning to lose faith in restaurants who seem to have no appreciation on how unappealing the food they serve is. My relatives said they enjoyed their vegan brunch so just hope they were being honest and not polite.

Slug and Lettuce York Riverside I attended a hen party where 18 of us had booked an afternoon tea. After full payment was made via the party company Slug & Lettuce changed the menu to Sip n Share This includes nachos, fried fish, prawns and Halloumi fries. All pre ordered.!! Not what I had booked and paid for or what 5 others attending for the day had paid for also. The food was OK although not my 1st choice. Service was horrendous. Our table was booked 3pm until 5pm We ate at 430pm and had to be elsewhere for 5pm so their offer to extend the table until 5.30pm was not ideal. The bide to be, her mum and one other guest were still waiting for a dish from the mains whilst others were served the desserts. At 17.04 a server came and put the reservation on the table for the next party while we were still eating. April's party was due at 6pm until 10pm!!! I left a bit later whilst still eating my hot pudding causing me to burn my mouth. Verbal complaints were made and are being persued through the booking company Hangover Weekends. Why S&L could not honour our afternoon tea is beyond me. We had booked and paid in full and was told 3 weeks prior thatcit had changed. They reckon afternoon tea is out dated however I had a gorgeous one at Windsor Castle the week before. And Bettys still sell lots!!!! Maybe they need tipping off!?? Sarcasm!! Overall OK food if thats what you like. Too busy. Too noisy. Service horrendous. Nice view. Would I go again? NO 👎

We had booked the cocktail making for my Hen Party in Bristol City Centre. We made sure to arrive 5 minutes early, but then had to wait until at least 10 past 6 to receive our 'welcome drinks'. We then made the first cocktail, which was missing half of the ingredients listed. When questioned, the guy leading said he was always told to make it like that. This worried us as to what was going to be missing from the second cocktails if they tried to leave bits out on purpose. He did then go to fetch the missing bits, which made the cocktails so much nicer. Nobody liked the first one we made, 'Resting Peach Face', until the extra's were added (Which included the peach!! How can it be a peach cocktail with no peach in it?!) The buffet was nice, and the second cocktail was good, however there were no games, no atmosphere, and no extra's to spice it up. We literally sat at a table and poured our own drinks. Any cocktail making we have done in the past has been much more immersive and fun. This felt a bit flat. Our table was then needed after we finished the masterclass, so we moved on and went to the bar for our next round of drinks. The cocktails which we asked for were either half empty, or missing half of their ingredients (there's a theme here). When we questioned if the price would be adjusted accordingly, the bartender swore at us, and took the rest of our drinks away. Two complaints for one hen party soured the mood rather, and we left. It was busy and they seemed short staffed, but that shouldn't be taken out on the paying customers, or on the service. Feel like we were really overcharged for something which didn't deliver on what was promised.
