really disappointing experience

saying the order is delivered from the website when the order didn't even sent to the courier. After sending numerous of email and calling endless times, finally solved the problem, and this whole process took almost 7 hours to finish. But the staff that was treating my problem was nice and responsible.

I REACHED BACK OUT AND RECEIVED A NEW CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT WHO PERSONALLY TOOK OVER MY CASE, WORKED HER MAGIC, ESCALATED TO THE APPROPRIATE PARTIES AND I RECEIVED NOTIFICATION THAT BOTH REFUNDS ARE BEING PROCESSED. SHE ALSO GAVE ME SOME HELPFUL INFO FOR FUTURE RETURNS. I AN EXTREMELY THANKFUL FOR THIS PARTICULAR EMPLOYEE WHO WORKED JUST A LITTLE BIT HARDER THAN THE PREVIOUS TO UNDERSTAND MY CASE AND PUSH FOR THESE REFUNDS. (Original post) I am a customer since 2020; I’ve had over 80 orders since that time with no issues. I recently returned four items; two items in one order and two items in a separate order. Both times, Selfridges only processed a return for one item in each order. The total amount of the two “missing” items is over $500 USD. They sent me an email today saying they looked into it and were unable to process a return, no explanation, nothing. The items were indeed returned as the secondary item in each box was processed so I know the package was safely returned. What happened to the other item in the package , in two separate packages, I have no idea. There is no explanation. No issues with courier that I’m aware of. Of course, the returns team stands by their claim that the items weren’t received. This is a mistake that is currently costing me over $500 with zero explanation. With a look at my order history, it’s obvious I’m a customer who hasn’t had any previous issues and has purchased a lot from them in the past few years; common sense should prevail that if I was seeking to scam this company , this wouldn’t be the way to do it. It’s also obvious that I purchase a lot from this company and wouldn’t want to risk the relationship but here we are now as I have to now file a chargeback and hope it’s rewarded in my favour. Bottom line is the returns team or the courier happened to misplace one of the two items in each package (two items total; two packages total). It’s most likely this is a returns team error or fraud, yet the email sent to me simply says they cannot refund me. It s obvious there is fraudulent behavior on their end and they’re unwilling or unable to find the culprit and therefore stealing over $500 USD from a loyal customer. I am 40 years old. I have never in my life had any store try to pull something like this. It’s absolutely unacceptable and straightforward theft. The missing items are a Saint Laurent card holder and a Bvlgari braided bracelet. I know the packages as a whole Were received by returns to the team either lost , discarded or stole the items. Or it just so happened that the courier , DHL, stole one item out of each package . Sorry but I find that highly unlikely. The corporation is commuting fraud by stealing money from the customer by denying valid refunds for returned items.
