This was our first time visit in having lunch or any meal at The Milk House, Sissinghurst. Unfortunately, it did not come up to our expectations. The service was poor with very inexperienced staff. We were virtually ignored. If we wanted anything we had to call over the staff. The mussel main course was dropped on the table and consequently everything spilt on the table causing an absolutely mess. Although quickly cleared away with apologies. It was re-ordered quickly but the crisp flatbread cameback over cooked and burnt. Knives, forks and spoons were dropped on the floor at the service area and quickly put back into the cutlery containers, not taken away and re-washed. The waitress unable to explain various dishes on the menu due to her inexperience. Ladies toilet was scattered with toilet paper and the toilet was not flushed with the door wide open. Obviously an unsupervised toilet. We complained about the flatbread being burnt and the waitress said that she would pass the comments on. At no time did the Manager or anybody of authority come over to our table to discuss our issues. There seems to be a lack of managerial supervision. Consequently, the service charge of 10% was removed from the bill without our asking. Overall the food was reasonable but not good value for money. A very disappointing first time visit.

Restaurant.com lures in you stating that you are purchasing a "gift card." Oh, if only that were true. I really should have known it was too good to be true, because it is. When you end up getting is essentially a coupon, because restaurants require a minimum purchase in order to use it. For example, your $25 certificate will cover $25 of the bill (this much is true) but only if you spend a minimum of $50. If you are planning to go to the restaurant anyway it's not a terrible deal, but you still can't go and spend it on a $30 meal and the certificates don't stack, $25 is the maximum you can get off for any meal. Another thing is restaurants can have additional caveats, they may restrict which days you can use it for for example. All this would be ok (provided they were more transparent about how it works up front) but to make matters worse the restaurant selection isn't great. If there were more participating locations it MAY be an ok service (IF you tend to spend around 50 anyway for say, a date) But there's so few restaurants you can use it for and many of them have very reasonable prices anyway. (some areas may be better than others though but my area's selection is quite sad) I am lucky in that there is a restaurant in our area that we go to anyway that takes these, but the rest are just cheap mexican places and one nicer place downtown. I'm probably just going to use the coupon for the place we go to anyway. I plan on using the certificates but I don't think I'll be getting coupons again as you are essentially paying for coupons and although you may be saving some money the minimum purchase is limiting how much you are actually saving. Overall a disappointing service.

I am so glad that restaurant.com is still going. Pre pandemic i ate at many good restaurants with there vouchers, had some restaurants not honoring the vouchers but overall a great experience. I am so glad restaurant.com is still active

I won mine $100 I thought it was an actual Egift card that I could use, its a bit misleading because its not really a gift card or I could sell the stupid thing somewhere else. Most places don't even know what Restaurant.com is so they wont accept the certificate/card, I assumed when I used it that I'd be able to oh I don't know spend $25 of my egift card at an accepting restaurant which I found 2 in my city of 5 which is another issue...limited locations available but alas what a shocker to find out its a DISCOUNT VOUCHER! Don't call it a damn gift card unless it actually is one that's misleading and should be against the law to confuse a customer and make them think its a gift card when it says it is but you go to use it...and its just a discount certificate for a % off your total price at a minimum spent. Now I have a $125 because of a bonus "Egift card" I actually cant sell or use online its absolutely useless to me unless I feel I want a discount someday which...I don't.

Booked a birthday dinner at M&C Worcester Park, disappointed with my Black Angus Sirloin was chewy and came as not medium rare as ordered. My husband full rack of ribs tasted as boiled ribs covered with sauce. The garlic mushrooms with no trace of garlic taste. Chunk chip tastes like oven chips. We specific requested Tartifletter with no pancetta for 2 Vegans. But it came with bits of pancetta. The waiter should knows that Tartifletter is cooked in a batch with pancetta and not suitable for Vegetarian/Vegan. Creme Brulee is runny not set, panna cotta don't taste like it, knickerbocker glory sundae also runny. All the desserts are overly sweet. Overall we are disappointed with the quality and service. Not value for money.
