Rent The Runway Tracking Order Status

Shipping was pretty fast and the return process was convenient but the MAIN issue was the availability of clothing. I hearted 300 items and only 16 were available at any given time. That is a 5% availability for clothing which is TERRIBLE for the price. I would totally continue my subscription if they invested in more pieces. Unfortunately, I canceled my subscription after the first week.

It's a little like baiting. You see some nice dressed that seem available to rent. When you start a membership, it turns out they are not available in your zip code, pretty disheartening. Then when you try to cancel because the stuff you want is unavailable, customer service is snooty and unhelpful. Final nail on the coffin is you rent some items, but they don't fit, and there are no exchanges/refunds. Sometimes you get really nice stuff, but it's like rolling the dice. Out of every 5 things I rented over 2 years I only had a 20 to 30% success rate.

I've loved using their service but have run into the issue where my items aren't shipped back fast enough by their shipper (UPS) and I get messages about it. I also feel like some negative reviews aren't approved under clothing items...not 100% sure.. but I left reviews for several items and only the ones that were positive were posted after their review.

It is all great as long as you are actively paying attention to your renewal dates. I had an emergency over a weekend and didn't hit "pause" in time to extend it. Unfortunately I was going to be out of the country for a month and unable to use the newly activated swaps. I asked if I could have an extension to use them when I returned from my trip, rather than lose them. That was a hardline no from customer service. So, I've decided to not support a company that provides zero flexibility or understanding for their members.

I personally have loved rent the runway, and I am FLOORED to see so many negative reviews. It is a great concept, and I have saved so much money on clothes using it. It just makes sense if you have a lot of events to go to and don’t want to buy new dresses or nice clothes that you likely wont wear too often. Plus, you get to try higher end brands that you might not normally buy! I have never had issues with quality or smelly clothing or timely shipping. Customer service has been great if I I had an issue. I found several pieces that I fell in love with, and even bought one product at a reduced price. There have been a couple times where the products didn’t fit me right, but it kind of comes with the territory when purchasing online. Just read the reviews before you chose your pieces.
