Room clean bed was wonderful and the staff were fantastic nothing was to much trouble

I found it quite challenging to submit this review. So many positives: very modern eco-friendly hotel; excellent staff especially after I lost my key card within a few hours, but quickly replaced without charge: lovely towels and the room was compact but almost everything I needed. An excellent and diverse choice of items with the “Continental style breakfast” was included in our costs but otherwise could be purchased. It was also helpful to leave items for a couple of hours after checkout, also free. It was the small issues that I missed, such as hot drink supplies in the room and a kettle, and no instructions as to how to operate the “touch buttons” that controlled some of the facilities. As an “older person” it was not easy to know how to maximise their use thogh my daughter agreed. The free Wi-Fi connected easily on my phone and iPad, though my laptop required a change in the Windows setup. These minor issues detracted only slightly so I mention these to help future guests to be aware. As I was one of a party of three, I did not book the hotel otherwise I may have been better informed.

My daughter collapsed first day of our stay. They called an ambulance, then took our room our of service until we knew when we were going home. I ended up extending my stay 2 more days but knowing that room was secure was a huge weight off my mind while in emergency room. The staff all asked how she was and helped call taxis when I went to visit and talked to me while I cried. Fantastic people, great hotel run with a human touch.
