PetSmart Tracking Order Status

My dog (a Keeshond - very fluffy) was a mess. He was overdue for a bath and had matted fur despite vigorous and frequent brushing. And he had a poopy butt but wouldn’t let us close enough to take care of it. I just had total knee replacement surgery and couldn’t wrangle him. I had made an appointment for washing and grooming but I was sure they wouldn’t take him in the state he was. I called first thing in the morning to cancel the appointment and the groomer told me that they get dogs with anything and everything stuck to them and to go ahead and bring him in. I told them to shave/clip his fur if it was too matted and that I didn’t care if he looked funny as a result. I could not believe my eyes when he came home. He looks GORGEOUS! Clean and shiny coat, fully brushed out, clipped neatly at the haunches and around the feet, no mats, nails trimmed. And he was happy and bouncy despite being so thoroughly groomed. I’m still gobsmacked by how terrific he looks. I will definitely be taking him back on a more regular basis.

When I brought my dog in to Sedona PetSmart for bath & nail clip on Tuesday all of the employees at the register found it necessary to get a word in edgewise. When I said "Australian Kelpies" weren't on the list of dog types, one of them insisted they were (they weren't). She then listed my dog as a dog she has no relation to. The $22 I agreed to online was instead $33.00, with less included. When I went back to pick her up, her nails were still long. The groomer was hesitant at first, but then took her back and did a much better job, apparently with the help of a senior groomer. I appreciated that they took care of that. Petsmart needs to teach groomers how to connect with and walk with dogs. The employees there don't seem to have a clue about handling them, basically letting the dogs drag them around. It felt a bit like a free-for-all. When dogs come in for baths etc, they are often anxious, needing TLC and assurance. PetSmart employees need some training too, on respectful communication with customers, including listening. Last but not least, the pricing system needs to be re-vamped to provide transparency and honesty around actual services and costs. I'm leaving two stars instead of one, as it appears Michael did a good job with her bath & brushing. Thank you.

My husband and I recently completed the 6-week puppy training class with trainer Chrissy at the Delran Petsmart in NJ. My husband and I were very pleased with the whole process. We learned 2-3 commands each class. We learned everything we wanted to know in regards to training our puppy as well as a few extra commands. She gave us step by step instructions for us to practice at home and while on walks. During class, Chrissy would show us how the command is done and then have us give it a try while she provided helpful feedback. If we still had a few problem areas, we would go over it some more at the next class. So far, our puppy has been doing well with the training exercises at home. We look forward to booking another 6 week class with Chrissy soon. I highly recommend Chrissy for all of your puppy/dog training needs.

I just spent $110 to have my dog cut and bathed. It was fair at best. When I got home I had to brush her for another 1/2 hour, trimmed her nails and finished drying her. I should have just done it myself.
