They sent me an item that had been used/owned by someone else. There were clear signs that the pieces in the box had already been opened and handled. The remote came without a battery so we couldn't even test it once we got the fan light assembled. No doubt the prior owner had removed the battery from the remote and forgot to replace it when they returned the fan light. This company seems to have a very strict return policy so how they could repackage someone's return and call it 'new' is certainly a contradiction.
