I got my 27in (2015) iMac upgrade kit on Thursday at 12 :30 PM. Every thing I needed to instal a 2TB SSD that was also included in the kit. All installed and working in less then two hours, Brilliant thank you for saving my Mac and me,

UPDATE 062022: By writing a negative review, I was finally able to get somewhere. Wish I had worked with this rep from the get-go. They sent a replacement iMac: I can confirm it has a different SN and doesn’t have the same cosmetic damage as the original. As to whether the crashing issues are gone, only time will tell, so I’m temporarily changing my rating to 3 stars. The fact that it took so much effort (and time) on my part for them to make this right still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. But at least I finally got someone willing to work with me. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I just flushed $3,062.39 down the toilet. I initially wrote a negative review, but then deleted it in the hopes that OWC would make it right. Unfortunately, after returning my computer for inspection and waiting several weeks, they did NOT make it right. Not only did they blatantly blow off the cosmetic damage caused by opening the iMac using metal tools, claiming it was dust (seriously? Dust?), but they did not acknowledge my issue that the computer randomly crashed. Now they are sending it back without fixing a thing??? I used the exact same software I ran on my 2014 iMac, which never presented a problem. The crashes always occurred when I was working on an important project (Using Adobe CC) where I lost all my progress. I took a risk purchasing a refurbished Apple, and it did not pay off. This computer is a lemon, and they are not willing to do anything about it. I’m a freelance graphic designer with a very limited budget. My hope was to purchase the latest iMac that would also work with Windows before Apple went with their own processor that wasn’t compatible. Unfortunately, I was sold a dud machine and they are not willing to do a thing about it. Just ask "Nicole H." who is supposedly Leadership. Stay away. Far, far away from these scammers. You will only be screwed in the end.

My 2017 imac was annoyingly slow, due to the 5400 rpm harddrive, so I purchased the ram upgrade to 32 gb, combined it with an internal ssd, and following the excellent owc videos after 4 hours I now have a blazingly fast imac (compared to before). I am very happy and satisfied with the result.

Having seen the excellent online OWC tutorials, I was convinced I could myself perform the upgrade by adding a PCIe 'blade' SSD and replacing the existing HDD (ok but now 7½ yrs old) at the same time. The kit arrived very quickly (overnight from IL, USA to UK). Sadly, after I dismantled the iMac, I discovered the new PCIe card had some damage. These things can happen - what separates great companies from the rest is the way they handle it. My first call was via online Chat on a Saturday - but Monday morning my phone call was answered sympathetically and helpfully - a replacement was dispatched same day and I was sent a label to return the defective one. I watched the online instructional videos several times and referred to it constantly during the actual procedure and took my time throughout. It was all very straightforward and just like in the videos. I was nervous to seal it all up again without a test boot but needed not to have worried - it all just worked (the trait of Apple that has kept me loyal fan). I used a USB drive I'd previously prepared to install a fresh version of Catalina then used a SATA to USB 3 connector onto the old HDD and then used Migration Assistant in Catalina Utilities to restore my apps and data - all faultlessly done (700GB) in under 3 hours. Now everything works properly and my iMac is around 10 times faster than before - and even better than that with some tasks. I think it will be good for the next 7½ years now. One tip to anyone else planning a similar upgrade - buy a BR2032 battery so you can replace that too at the same time while your iMac is insides out (I saw this too late)! Many thanks to all concerned at OWC. The overall experience with OWC was excellent.

Just bought and installed their 480GB Aura Pro X2 SSD for my 2013 27" iMac. Delivery to the UK from Belgium was super-fast - just a couple of days -and the installation video made the task very straightforward. I have bought from OWC before and have always found their kit very high quality and reliable. Designed for Apple computers; it works perfectly. 100% recommended.
