SCAMMERS !!! locked my entire external drive with the trial version and couldn't unlock it at all. After two tries the trial was over and I would have to pay these a**holes to unlock it. (apparently it doesn't even work) Contacted their support and the ONLY thing they tell me is that they need to "connect to my computer" in order to help me... These guys are as far from legit as possible and I will NEVER allow them access to my entire PC. Doesn't even make sense why they would need to. Thankfully it seems easy to get access to your files again since they're not even encrypted. It's possible to add the blank jibberish files to an .rar or zip archive on another disk, then u can access your files again. (good security btw) It's so transparent that they wrote all the positive 5/5 reviews on cnet themselves. They're all so similiar

It's a TERRIFYING experience when your data is locked and will not unlock despite you having the correct password and no one will assist you for weeks. This company has ONE customer service agent who works from MIDNIGHT to 8 am, PST, via SKYPE. I'll say that again. ONE customer service agent, who is not in the US, and that is only available from midnight to 8am EST, via SKYPE. If it wasn't for BMT micro, the payment processor, I sincerely doubt this person, "Michelle Rossevelt" would have ever responded to me. A huge amount of data was encrypted and would not unlock. It took 2 weeks to get them to help me, and only after intervention by BMT Micro. This company claims to have an Oregon address but they are not listed on the Oregon Secretary of State Corporation Division and the business address is not found. Check for yourself at the state website. Now do a search of the business address on Google Maps. 9450 SW Gemini Dr., ECM# 37715 Beaverton, Oregon. It says PERMANENTLY CLOSED. Is this the kind of software business you want to use for encrypting your data?

I downloaded the USB block and without me locking anything it locked both the USB and a hard drive partition. Soon after that I don't even get into my PC, not even with help from Microsoft, trying to reinstall Windows!! Beware!!

Avoid This Company! I purchased a Key 01/05/2022 and registered the product with no issues, the very next day I went to log in again and it told me my Key was no longer valid. I've emailed them twice with ZERO response. Further investigation on Google shows that their software is a prime target for keygen and cracking software, NOT something you expect to deal with after shelling out 40$ for a program!

Bought the product, every thing was fine, until i bought me a new Computer (build it with a friend of mine), every thing was new except the graphic card. So new Windows key, new hardware what could go wrong, weeeel, seems like once you activate Folder Lock it sends the data of your PC back to the company, and the key you bought is now locked to that hardware and/or Windows. (Presume this is correct) This is the reply i got: ------------------- A single Folder Lock user-license is valid for only 1 (one) PC. In a nutshell, It will work on a single PC. Folder Lock switches to trial mode, under the following circumstances: If a user installs a new windows user license or an already registered Folder Lock key; he or she makes changes/upgrades the hardware on his/her PC e.g. new motherboard harddrive etc; logs in from another windows user account and sometimes even your anti-virus can prevent license registration, restricting communication with our servers. ------------------- So what when i then add a new Harddrive, upgrading my Graphic Cards, or have to reinstall Windows (same windows licence but still)... what then :( So basically, you cant do much if you decide to buy some new hardware, and bought a Folder Lock key just a month or so before, well in my case they >> did << give me a new key. I would suggest that they do upgrade the info on their page, no where did they write that new hardware or windows etc can break the key :(
