National Tyres and Autocare Tracking Order Status

Alfie and his colleagues at national tyres Horsham really are such lovely people! They have gone above and beyond sorting my cars the last couple of days. I just want to say thank you again and I hope your managers see this and give you all a pay rise! Excellent team and I’ll definitely be using them again/ referring them to any friends or family :)

Booked a home visit on June 5th for trye replacement, paid & received confirmation and advised someone would contact me when the fitter had my tyre to confirm fitting requested for June 10th. No further communications until I called the number on the e-mail confirming payment, was told they could not trace my order number or anything in my name, worrying as I'd paid almost £200. As I was talking the fitter turned up on my doorstep so they clearly did have my order. Fitter was told the order was for 3 new tyres (it was only 1) and he had two different sizes on his copy of the order ! Fitter was superb, friendly and fast and all resolved within 30 minutes. Processes need reviewing.

Called in this afternoon with a flat tyre from the family Fiat 500 Pop. We thought it had picked up a nail, or similar, but the team quickly established that a perished valve was a likely culprit. New valve added and tyre pumped up then tested in water bath for any other leaks, fortunately none found. The team turned this problem around in less that 15 minutes and then elected not to levy any charge! Thank you guys, you have just gained a new customer, with your super service, a brilliant attitude and a cheery smile.You more than deserve our 5 star review!

We as a family are not too impressed with National Tyres since they've become joined with Halfords. We cannot knock the staff at Macon Way in Crewe, (Ashley, Matty, Kyle, Matty, Mark & Co) they are all diamonds, respectful, and always most polite and cheerful. My problem is all to do with the new call centres that serve both the stores and the tyre fitting operations. Our conversing with the personnel we can often barely understand & sometimes they can also misunderstand you. (language) It is just so frustrating. Some employees have no idea what the company's price match promise is or what this also entails. We had two better-priced quotes from two other local companies for the same exact tyres. These were Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 tyres: 225/45 R17 94Y XL These were also inclusive and without tracking quotations. (we still need to address the tracking) Incidentally, the steering re-alignment/tracking machine was broken at Crewe on the afternoon of the fitting, but we were not told this before turning up on site. Overall, it was a terrible and more expensive experience than it should have been. Add to this, we are still without tracking to our two front tyres which were purchased new, (money already taken) and we are still waiting for the call back to see if National Tyres/Halfords can price match over a week later. Not going to hold my breath either...
