I had a FYE account that offer magazine subscriptions for a small fee per month. In July 2023 I canceled my account and verified with F.Y.E that no further charges would take place. I also considered that my debit card previously provided had expired. Today an unauthorized amount of 43.00 was charge for sports illustrations. I was provided another number from sports illustrations automated phone system. Once I contacted this new number I had to continually attempted to speak to a live person which was challenging. Once Calvin got online he repeated what the recording have previously advise I wasn't eligible for a refund. This was unacceptable services, this company illegal changed the expiration date to push payment through. I ask for the name of this company, Magazine Discount Center which is very generic. I proceed to ask for the address and state and he wouldn't provided this information. He stated that they're in the US and no other information was available. I will be calling back if I don't receive this credit within 3-5 business days.

Subscription for $49 to Better Homes and Gardens appeared on my credit card statement. I did not order this magazine and have absolutely no interest in it. I called the number on the statement and was told that it would be cancelled but i still needed to pay for the used portion of the subscription. I refused and they agreed to refund the full price. Remains to be seen if this happens. I also contacted them through their website for documentation of my "order". We'll see what i get.

This is the biggest scam . Im reporting them to the FRAUD Division with the attorney general.

This company offers magazines at a discount up front, but engages in what I would describe as less than transparent renewal/cancellation processes. Case in point: -Subscribed to magazine 3 years ago--auto renewal via credit card is in the small print -I received invoices for renewal from the actual magazine publisher, but decided to not renew and did not respond to the invoices. -Magazine Discount Center apparently sent a notice about the autorenewal, however, their notice is EASILY OVERLOOKED/DISCARDED. It is a large postcard-type notice with very small writing on it--VERY SIMILAR to mail/solicitations that you likely put in the recycling several times a week -Because I missed their notice, I autorenewed at a higher price. Because I ignored the publisher's invoices, when the magazine showed up, I assumed it was a gratis/free renewal for another year -When you crosscheck with your credit card, you see that charge and realize they aren't giving you a free magazine subscription -When you finally do notice the postcard autorenewal notification and call the 800 number to cancel a subscription, you'll find their "robot" makes it difficult to cancel. When you say you want to cancel, the computer assistant makes the process way more lengthy/burdensome than it needs to be. It says it will give you several more free or deeply discounted months worth of magazines and then you can call them then to cancel. What they really want it you to forget to call until they've made some money off of you. When you tell the computer "no" and that you really want to cancel, it gives you more crap--tells you it is SORRY you didn't like the magazine. Sigh. -Bottom Line: you can easily overlook the renewal notices as they can easily blend into the mail ads you mostly recycle or discard immediately without attentive review.

Be careful with this company. They will say you did a survey and got free magazines but will auto renew on your cc year after year. I asked them what survey was done and they could not find the record.
