Macfox Bike Tracking Order Status

I am loving my Macfox X1! Very comfortable seating position, and surprisingly smooth on the bumps. The speed settings are easy to use and love the variability in the speed settings. It gets up and goes well when you need to! I couldn’t be happier.

Very good customer service and quick response when I have questions. Ordering was easy, even when I made a mistake. I messaged customer service and they corrected my error. This is my sons 4th E-bike, first MacFox, and he's happy with purchase. I will be purchasing one for myself after the holidays.

Real nice solid bike - installation guide was missing some directions (directional lights matter which side they are installed on, there was no kickstand directions, how long to charge the battery - charger turns green when battery is fully charged, recommended tire pressure, etc..).

I own 2 Macfoxs and i absolutely love them. Perfect beginner bike for wheelies or just to cruise around on! Super fun.

My son really likes his bike, but it's just not a quality made item. In addition, customer support barely exists. Issues I had: -Throttle was not working correctly upon arrival, triggering an "e34" error. The website has no information about how to resolve this. Fortunately, this is a replacement bike for one that was in an accident, so I was able to swap the throttle control from the old bike and the error disappeared. -The suspension fork comes with a rubber ring, that is typically used to tune a suspension fork (I know this from riding mountain bikes) -- however this ring arrived partially submerged into the seal on the fork. I had to carefully pull this ring out of the stanchion else the seal would be compromised. -The mechanical brakes were not correctly set at the factory, and luckily someone showed me how to adjust the brake pads properly. -Be sure to check and tighten all bolts and screws, I found several that were loose. (This is good advice for any bike you buy) -The front axel has a suggested tightening force of 25nM according to a sticker on the fork. I'm not an engineer, but I have a torque wrench for my high end mountain bike that only goes to 6nM. I cant imagine the force of 4x that amount. Should it be 25 ft-lb? -Also, beware that I have found the few bike shops I've spoken to are unwilling to work on these bikes. So when it comes time to have maintenance done, you may be on your own. Ultimately, this is one of the cheaper bikes of this type on the market, so you kinda get what you pay for I guess.
