Leisure Guard Gadget Tracking Order Status

I reviewed Leisureguard on 26th May with one star due to lack of response when trying to claim on hire car accident insurance. Following the review, they contacted me to advise that AXA deal with the claims. I contacted them and am pleased to advise that payment has been made. Things do go wrong but ok if are put right.

Leisure guard receive some terrible reviews on Trust Pilot but you can only speak as you find. This morning I made two calls to Leisure guard in relation to buying travel insurance. On the first occasion there was a painfully long 7 second delay between England and Durban so I curtailed the call. I then tried to book holiday insurance through another company but was met with an unpleasant call handler somewhere in Britain. On returning to Leisure guard the delay to Durban had gone and my holiday insurance booking was handled by a lovely woman called Neliswa. She was bright , happy, helpful and with a personable nature. She is a credit to the company.

Really easy to sort a policy. I ended up not using it and asked for a refund - I got a couple of differing responses, but ultimately they agreed to do so, and the money came through pretty much immediately.

I went with Leisure Guard as they were recommended on Martin Lewis's website but wish I had read these reviews first. Having returned from a holiday I needed to make a claim and have spent several days and a lot of time trying to contact Leisure Guard by phone. Eventually got through to someone who seemed to be writing down everything by hand and actually disappeared off the line for several minutes to look up something at one point. She said she would email forms straight away but nothing arrived. I have emailed a huge amount of evidence as asked but having now read the reviews, am not holding my breath about getting a response. Will update review if I do. Finally had claim settled and paid today 08/02/23. It has taken 3 months and I had to submit copies of paperwork 4 times. However, on a positive note, the complaints dept contacted me after I posted my first review on Trustpilot and I was paid compensation for the delay in dealing with my claim.

After posting a poor review here I was contacted by Leisure Guard who referred my complaint on to relevant company responsible for dealing with their claims and I'm happy to report I received my payment yesterday. 5 months after original submission, several phone calls, a negative trust pilot review and one complaint later but we got there in the end! I'll be sure to check trust pilot reviews before taking out insurance going forward.
