Kensington Tracking Order Status

Non avevo mai provato prima una trackball, così ho deciso di comprarne una “pura” (cioè non il mouse “ibrido” con una trackball, più piccola di questa, posta su un lato), ma purtroppo si è rivelata una decisione sbagliata. Utilizzare la trackball non è cosa facile e i movimenti del cursore - la freccetta che compare sullo schermo - sono molto meno precisi se si utilizza la trackball al posto del mouse. Tra l’altro mi pare anche che affatichi di più la mano rispetto a un mouse poichè le dita si devono muovere di più (può pure essere che questa trackball è stata pensata proprio per una mano molto più grande, maschile, che riesce ad afferrare meglio l’intero aggeggio). Di conseguenza anche lavori di precisione - come utilizzare programmi di fotoritocco tipo Photoshop - con la trackball, a differenza del mouse, diventano estremamente difficoltosi da svolgere. Ma anche altri normali task sono complicati dal fatto che la trackball non dispone della rotellina centrale del mouse, di cui al giorno d’oggi non se ne può proprio fare a meno. Probabilmente, siccome qualsiasi software e sistema operativo sono oggi sviluppati tenendo conto che verranno utilizzati con un mouse, è ovvio che utilizzarli con un device totalmente diverso si può rivelare un problema serio. In definitiva non è una scelta saggia passare dal buon vecchio mouse a una trackball. O almeno a questa.

Ce produit n'est pas compatible avec tous les ordinateurs : je n'ai pas lu cette mention dans la description: ci dessous la réponse du SAV de Kensington : "Nous comprenons, mais comme nous vous l'avons déjà indiqué, l'ordinateur portable doit être équipé du mode USB-C (Alt mode/Alternate mode) pour être compatible avec la station d'accueil UH1400P USB-C. Comme votre HP LAPTOP 39.6 CM 15S-FQ5112TU, n'a pas Alt mode/Alternate mode, il n'est pas compatible avec la station d'accueil UH1400P USB-C." Il en découle qu'au travers de cette station d'accueil, l'écran n'est pas détecté par cet ordinateur. Sur un autre ordinateur, qui lui est bien compatible, pas moyen de lire une clé USB.

Trolley for 17' laptop bought less than 2 years ago. Customer service contacted by email. Initially they say that a replacement will be shipped in warranty. Then they proposed a different trolley (for 15' laptop...useless to me). When I say no, they disappear. No comment about customer service

I did have a SD3500v USB 3 Docking station, while to functionality of it worked ok, I needed to get a replacement power cord. The item is about 12mths old I rang and asked for if they stocked them as I couldn't find one on their website and I have already been to office works and another local store similar to see to get a power cord. The other I tried have don't have the same voltage so while it will fit in the socket they won't work. Speaking with the lady, she wasn't sure, would speak with the supervisor and let me know, she took down my address details even. Pretty disappointing that my $270 docking station is unusable. I will not purchase these products again.
