Irish Ferries Tracking Order Status

First time on Irish Ferries. Impressed by the plush/comfortable seating and dining area (compared to other Dover/Calais ferries). Big duty free shop, kids play area, clean toilets and plenty of them. Only disappointment was the cost of a meal, £44 including 2 soft drinks!! Would advise caution if having a salad bowl, these are charged in addition to meals, £7.50 small bowl, even if you opt to have this instead of potato/rice and veg! So one piece of roast chicken and salad, £24.45, bit of a rip off!!

I read the other reviews and I will tell you mine: I arrived late and I was worried for the extra fees as the traffic from London and the slow speed imposed and having to return home as we forgot something essential and I panicked with not much info online. I explained what happened and the customer service was outstanding and empathetic. I have traveled with them before and to be honest, the food is not much different to P&O. Not too bad. The customer service exceptional on land and on the ship. Do not let go of humans to be replaced by AI. They make your company what it is. Thank you

Specific to Epsilon Dublin / France route: This is an economy/ freight ship charging premium fares. I would only use in the future if I got an amazing fare. We were under the impression we had booked the fancy WB Yeats but I couldn't find any info on which ship we had booked when checking my emails so a bad start realising we were on the truckers ship. Travelled many times with Irish Ferries over the years. You can see where they have cut back recently. Travelling to France on Epsilon they recommend you arrive two hours in advance. This is a complete waste of time. 30 mins would be sufficient as they literally board you about 10 mins before the ship will sail. Minimal staff at check in - free for all getting on the boat as there was only one lad driving a truck around waving his hands which meant all queued lanes tried to follow at once. On the boat Food pricing is scandalous to the point of price gouging. €5 for cereal plus milk. €12 for a breakfast roll with one sausage and two rashers! You can see where people have copped on and bring a packed lunch / breakfast - plan ahead! We stocked up before our return journey. The TVs in the rooms have built in DVD so bring a few movies, tablet, switch etc. If you have kids as there's absolutely nothing on the boat for kids. Be very careful which ship you are getting when booking.

Ich bin in diesem Sommer mit Irish Ferries von Calais nach Dover und zurück gefahren und würde es in Zukunft vermeiden. Das Boarding der Autos erfolgte so unprofessionell, dass ich extreme Mühe hatte, überhaupt die Autotür zum Aussteigen weit genug zu öffnen. Die Fähre selbst wirkt total runtergekommen, Türen klemmen…

Terrible first impressions. Que for over an hour to get through check in only to be stopped due to a prob with the boat. Ended up being inevitably delayed and we are assured we will be on the next ferry. However no update and huge ques so although our sailing was meant to be 1105 it looks like we won’t get on until 1445!!! Well we did get on finally and boat is pretty plush. Our kiddy loves the soft play. Fingers crossed they’ve redeemed themselves.
