Last week, I purchased two pieces of bedroom furniture from Home Square. Having never heard of them, I did a little research. Finding mixed reviews, I chose to move forward because I really did like the pieces I was buying and they weren't available everywhere. Home Square also had a good price. That's on me. I choose to proceed despite mixed reviews. The ordering was easy enough, and the purchase confirmation was emailed quickly. However, I received four different emails confirming the items were shipped. The first two were identical, the second two now showed an additional item that I DID NOT order. Same order number, different tracking number (oddly enough.) Hoping to remedy this as soon as possible, I looked for a customer service number to call. When you call, you WILL NOT be able to speak to a person. The only option for residential purchases is email. I thought maybe I'd sign in to my Home Square account and check to see if I could get to the bottom of this mistake, but my password did not work. So I clicked Forgot Password and was sent an email to reset it. When I clicked the link to reset, I was sent to webpage with a "404. Page Not Found" error message. So I can't talk to a person, I can't go online and find answers, so I sent an email to the customer service email address (which is cs at homesquare dot com -- had to spell it out here because this site doesn't let you have email address in your reviews) -- my only recourse for help. The message on the phone tells you it could take up to 48 hours to get a response. Not enough time to help you solve the problem. Is this the end of the world? No. And if it all works out, I'll ultimately be glad I made the purchase. But it's stressing me out and making for a terrible shopping experience and most definitely will not use Home Square or Cymax again. It's just not worth it when there are tons of other options out there. That's why I gave two stars. If this works out, I'll be fine -- and, I purchased from this site knowing the reviews were mixed. But the annoyance alone is worth the removal of the other three stars. If this doesn't work out and things get more difficult, I'll be back on here to update my review to one star.

Update:02-17-23 today I called and was able to speak to customer service. They gave the option to return/replace or accept a 25% return off the purchase price. Glad they were willing to take responsibility. Unfortunately I did not read the reviews before I purchased 2 book cabinets. Both were damaged. I immediately emailed photos to their customer service with no response. If I call the number listed, you can place an order with a live person, if you need to speak with customer service it says email us and we’ll get back to you. No response in days… that speaks volumes.

I was so excited to find a cabinet that was the perfect size for my project at such a great price that I didn't check the reviews first! When I saw the poor reviews and found the links on my confirmation email didn't work, I feared the worst! However, my cabinet arrived on time and in perfect condition (even though the packaging was a little damaged). Considering the price, the quality was great! The instructions were very good, and I am very pleased with my new cabinet. For price / quality, on time delivery, packaging and instructions I would give 5 stars. But I take a star off for the worry caused by poor communication.

I ordered 2 navy Brianna arm chairs with metal casters. After ordering, I read reviews (backwards I know) and thought about canceling because of some bad ones but didn’t and I’m so glad! I placed my order over the phone, spoke with 2 different ppl, couldn’t have been nicer. I got the best price by far on these chairs with free delivery and everything went exactly as they told me. I’m a grandma and it took less than 1 hour to unpack chairs and put the legs on (not small chairs). Not sure why the bad reviews but my experience couldn’t have been better and I love my chairs! Thank you!
