Last Gurneys Reviews from Trustpilot

While I paid for product in February, thinking I paid everything, received final product in May. All of the sudden end of May, I get a bill same past due for more cost. This is craziest thing I have dealt with in online purchases. Paid your dumb bill, sent US Mail. Good luck, never doing business with your companies again.

I thought I was ordering good onion plants and high quality seed potatoes. Not happy altho I did get my order on time. Some of the seed potatoes are tiny and shriveled looking and I don't see any chitting on them. I can't believe how small and thin and half dried the onion plants are. Won't be ordering from them anymore. I recognized the name and thought they had good products.

Gurneys has always provided me with excellent seeds for over 10 years. I love that they let customers review their seeds, which is very helpful. Customer service has always been cordial. The only thing I question is their shipping costs. Their seeds weigh so little and are sent via usps. Items I ship to my customers weigh more and are in boxes, though my shipping charge to customers is a few dollars less.

I've been a customer of Gurney's for over 40 years, my last seed order had $4.10 postage due, the mailing label was used at least twice according to the post office. Gurney's refused to reimburse the charge, saying I failed to get a receipt. Mr. Gurney would be disappointed. Update: Gurney's did refund the postage due.

I've been a Gurney's customer for over 40 years now. And, they do sell some nice varieties. BUT, they've gotten a little outrageous over the last few years. Prices have been inflated so they can do weekly or semi-weekly 50% off sales. They're like the stores that repeatedly run 'Going Out of Business' type sales. Just give me a fair and honest price like you guys used to, OK? People are intelligent enough to understand that you can't sell fairly priced stock at half-price on a regular basis. We understand you're just 'jacking up' the prices for these sales. And, don't sign up for the email list unless you want to be spammed with an AM and PM email from them with 'special bargains'. This is 2020. No one wants to receive 2 daily emails/7 days a week from their seed company. Most modern companies understand this and limit promotional emails to once or twice weekly. Realistically, I do most of my seed/plant shopping at other sources these days. I don't like what the company has become. But, I do still place the occasional order with Gurney's. Take this as notice, guys. Your changes over the past few years is driving away your core customers that have been with you for decades.
