Gregory Tracking Order Status

Shocking material quality - avoid at all costs. The lifetime warranty is a scam. I contacted the customer service team (Jake) and they put my issue down to 'wear and tear'. The materials on the inside are literally peeling off and going all over my luggage, it is material failure from Gregory's manufacturer and nothing to do with wear and tear. Broken zips and seams are wear and tear. Absolutely hopeless quality and even worse customer service.

Lower quality of materials and service. My third pack from Gregory in 25 years. First two took a lot of wear - one is still going strong - but the third was bought in June 2023 and after 6 months a toggle broke. After 11 months a clip holding the chest strap broke. Now in UK trying to get a repair. Complicated and impersonal and I'll have to pay. So much for the guarantee!

Had fantastic customer service experience. Nothing wrong with the pack but had a problem after year of usage with the valve of the reservoirs. Customer service was fantastic and sorted me out very quick and efficient with free of charge new part!

I bought the Gregory Stout 60 backpack for distance hiking, on the strength of its good reviews. Half way round a 5 day hike in the Beara peninsula in May 2022 - my first outing with the Gregory pack - the left shoulder strap stitching ripped as I hoisted the pack onto my back. The load was 12kg, not heavy at all for a 60 litre pack. This left me in the unhappy state of 2 more days on the trail with a weakened pack, not knowing if the strap stitching would hold until the destination. I cannot be bothered to return the pack, will repair it locally, but am surprised that a brand of this stature can produce a backpack whose strap stitching is capable of ripping under conditions of normal use - imagine the consequences of strap failure many days' walk from a town or village.

I ordered a daypack from Gregory. I am from Denmark. I wrote to customer service first to ask from where the packs were shipped as I was worried about shipping and customs costs. They replied that it would be sent from Germany, i.e. within the EU. So there would be no issues with customs etc. I then ordered the daypack and two days later it arrived by UPS (and I was able to track the shipment until it arrived). So all very fast and smooth. No problems whatsoever.
