As a full-time musician gigsalad is Godsend for me. I joined gigsalad in 2015 as full-membership. Joining gigsalad is one of my best Decision. Thanks for awesome job.

I was really disappointed with my last attempt to find a band for my event. The first person to respond to a quote request that gigsalad sent out tells me my budget is unrealistic and I should go ask to hire a high school band. This type of attitude or communication shouldn't be tolerated and is very discouraging. This was supposed to be just a quote.

I love the idea of Gigsalad and I was so convinced that it would be good for me that I upgraded to pro. I was happy to see that pretty quickly, I started receiving requests for many quotes. Unfortunately, most of them I never heard back from, even though I sent quotes and messages and left voicemails. One or two declined my offer which was their prerogative. I was just happy to hear from them. Some of these requests were whacky like requesting a musician to play 4 hours for a party of 5. Almost none of them were specific to the type of music they wanted. Also, they didn't know what equipment they could provide such as PA etc. I wrote questions on every single gig I bid on and did not get one answer. There is one looking for someone in my specialty that I would be perfect for and who put her number on the page asking for phone calls. I messaged her, and called twice, my representative called and I finally quoted just to get a response. Nothing. There was one offer that I was certain I would get and I got an announcement from Gigsalad saying they removed it because it was not legitimate. I did get one gig and I made arrangements to travel to do a wedding and stay overnight but I got ill. I was devastated and tried to help the person find someone else. He was wonderful about it. Broke my heart. That is why I gave the 2 stars instead of 1. I am sorry but I have to be honest. I was very excited when I saw requests coming in. I would really like to use the service, and would happily pay for my membership and the fees, which are quite reasonable.. But if I don't get a gig before my membership runs out, it makes no sense to renew. I can't pay for pro if I am not getting offers.
