I think they are committing fraud taking people hard earned money because the proctor literally stopped my test before it even finished launching all I received on my screen was a message saying I had a item not permitted when all I had was my laptop and mouse on my desk top it is Sunday so of course I cannot contact customer service what the message said because they only answer Monday - Friday I was taking my test today because I work all week and do not have time during the week to test this is very messed up and I better get a credit to re-test because I'm not paying again for in error and I would like a supervisor upper management contact as soon as possible because I will be reporting this to the department of education and better business bureau until something is done and please know I stand on business and do not play when it comes to my education or money.

The most challenging point of the test is being timed for this test .

After signing up and paying $139 i was assigned an advisor. I messaged and called without any luck. i ended up calling the helpline and they had no idea how to navigate GED.COM? I will be requesting my money back.

4 years ago my significant other passed the Ged exam, they sent an email to her mother who then printed and kept it safe, It was our fault, she had lost the document, and after searching her emails we could not find the email. We contacted a local representative to advise on what the next step is only to be told that we have to pay to receive the same document that was sent the previous time, surely if you can retrieve the document and resend it to me then the file is available at request? Needing the document soon we have paid the requested 15 dollars for the new piece of paper..... I am waiting for feedback from the company.

TERRIBLE! On two separate occasions my son was disqualified for reasons out of our control. The challenge isn't that we were disqualified as much as the lack of consistency on what Pearson Vue deems "acceptable". Consistency of decisions and a lack of empathy by Proxy Agents makes immediate challenge resolution nearly impossible. As a business owner myself, I can see numerous issues including a lack of training in their own system. Proxies seam to have NO EXPERIENCE using the consumer side of their own system thus cannot fathom what users may be dealing with in navigating system pitfalls. First for LA test, per GED.com Pearson Vue requirements . . . we logged in, passed system tests, checked in, showed my sons id (minor), then used my id as parent verification, which was APPROVED by the proxy. After that my son started having technical issues on our end (a background system started itself up automatically). While trying to overcome this hurdle, the proxy was hounding us to "shut down any other apps". I was certainly trying, but his ongoing hounding was also making me nervous and hasty so I couldn't troubleshoot effectively. He said that we needed to disconnect, but that we can start at the beginning for verification when we are ready. We disconnected and I was able to quickly uncover which computer application started itself up, then I uninstalled it from my computer to prevent recurrence. We started over with the entire process again, system tests, id verification for my son, then started my id verification . . . the new proxy noticed that my DL had expired and now wouldnt let my son test! We were disqualified. I was told to take the case number and call customer service, then the system closed. No phone number was provided. We logged back into ged.com and searched however no phone number was available, so I tried their chat system which took me in circles before I was put in a que. After 45 min support still never came! I immediately ordered a new government issued ID for our next attempt. Rescheduled test for diff day. During the next test appt, my husband showed his ID and all worked smoothly (his ID is older, but not expired). My son passed his exam. Next day, we scheduled his next/Math exam, waited for that appt, in the meantime my new government issued ID was delivered. Math Testing day . . . ran system tests, son provided ID, then I provided my new ID but Pearson Vue system wouldnt authorize. I went in circles with the Proxy Agent who said we needed either a different computer or a different camera. We were using the same computer/camera as the previous successful test without access to an alternative. Why could they authorize during the previous appointment but not this time?! Sounds like a problem between their software and the shiny new government issued ID!!! This time the Proxy disqualified us, then I had to stop him from hanging up to get a phone number from him. Another 45 minutes on the phone (that customer service rep was super pleasant) and now there is a plan in place for us to submit an ID scan for an override, which could take another 3-5 days. So now we need to rearrange our families busy schedule AGAIN. My suggestion . . . forgo Pearson Vue and take your GED test in person. Maybe if the pocketbook for the online system is impacted enough, they will need to make some changes.
