Ordered a motorcycle lift. The quality of the lift was pretty poor - obviously a cheap Chinese made effort. More importantly, the lift did not match the description on the website. Specifically, there was no removable rear panel and the dimensions did not match those on the website. Informed Frost by email and simply got a response apologising for the misprint, but the website still hasn't been updated and no offer to put things right.

My project - the restoration of a 1960's Artillery Luger replica to (better than) original finish. The pistol is made of zinc alloy castings. Spoke to Frost technical support who recommended their Zinc Blacking solution. After thoroughly removing older finish, polished, degreased thoroughly and dipped components in zinc black solution. Neutralized further reaction by dipping in a bicarbonate of soda solution,washed in water, allowed to dry and then sealed with a light coat of satin lacquer. Brilliant, even blacking results! The paler, "straw blued" (a pale golden colour) effect on the stripping lever, trigger etc. was achieved by reducing immersion time to a few seconds. Thanks Frost for a brilliant product. I wanted to buy blast media for my new bead blast cabinet and had no clue what to order. I'd made my mind up based on the nice descriptions on their website but needed to call to order due to the weight of my order - fair enough. The lady I spoke to was friendly and chatty and sensed that I didn't know what I was talking about and instead of doing the easy thing and just taking my order, she got someone from 'technical' to call me. Sure enough, Lee rang within the hour and spent a good 10 minutes explaining the basics and recommended a more economical purchase for me. These employees are a credit to the company, they were honest and helpful and I had no hesitation in ordering with them. Steve (from Wales, not Scotland)

Unfortunately. Yesterday I ordered 3 items via the website and paid for them including shipping. Today I received a polite email saying two of the items are out of stock and that any back orders would be subject to additional shipping when they came in. The shipping is expensive at £5.95 minimum, even if you order a single screw for argument's sake. This is the 3rd time that I have ordered and found my items out of stock after the purchase event. The website should say clearly if it is in stock or not to give the buyer the opportunity to shop elsewhere, I have mentioned this to them several times and still, nothing has happened. The last time this happened they didn't even let me know and I had to chase where the order was then waiting nearly a month for it to arrive. Until Frost Auto Restoration up there game I have been forced by them to source my goods elsewhere in the future. It is a real shame as they do sell even if they don't stock a good coverage of products for restoration

Product ok. Delivery a joke. Paid for express delivery 1:2 days After 4 days I chased. "Out for delivery " arrived after 8 days. No response as to reason or refund of high delivery costs. They do not care. Don't waste money for express delivery.
