Forest Holidays Tracking Order Status

All staff were really friendly and helpful and noting was a problem. I'm including the guys working o steps at our cabin, the hot tub guy, the young guy at reception that popped out to help us with our TV, the ranger, the girl doing the quiz, the TV maintenance man. Smiles all around, everyone spoke when you passed them and seemed really interested in us having a good time. They were all clued up on local area, safety in the loch too. THANKS SO VERY MUCH TO EACH OF YOU we left with big smiles on our faces after our stay. : )))))))) The cabin out side is a bit dated and cabins lovely but not posh posh but when you have such lovely staff this doesn't matter.

Just got back from a week at Cropton. So many good things to say, but top of the list are the staff, everyone we encountered were brilliant. Got to mention Claire from housekeeping, she was the best. Our cabin wasn’t ready when we arrived and Claire apologised and I felt she really meant it, she called on us twice more during the week to check on us and even organised some extra towels, it is people like her that make a holiday a success and encourage return custom. The site was great, cabins were okay, not luxury but when you get a hot tub that is cleaned and checked everyday it makes up for the shortfalls. Full kitchen, comfy seating in and out and very spacious in our 3 bed cabin. The bathrooms could do with an overhaul and flushing the loos was hard work! One day we had no hot water, I called in to the retreat to advise and the maintenance crew arrived within 10 mins, all fixed and done. Great location for visiting the North Yorkshire countryside and coast.

Very disappointing and extremely over priced - Strathyre. Cabins were dusty and dirty, broken flooring etc, very dated especially dark dingy bathrooms and toilet. You don't expect to do housework on holiday (or not much anyway) but we had to in order to make it comfortable. TV package is laughable! Don't pay extra as it certainly isn't a Premium package! No Netflix, Amazon, SKY etc. We didn't try the food at the "Retreat" as it didn't look good to be honest. Hot tub was good as were the guys who checked it daily. We were unable to use the bikes we'd booked due to my asthma with hay fever and first told I'd get a full refund then told we wouldn't receive anything re T&Cs and that lots of other people had wanted bike hire and been turned away. I suggested they offer the ones we'd booked but that seemed too crazy a suggestion. SO they remained unused for the week at a cost of £112. Don't bother complaining - absolutely no Customer Service attitude whatsoever, Never again will we holiday with this company!

This was our third visit as a family in the last year and we already have another two bookings made taking us into summer 2024. We always stay in the same pet friendly cabin which has parking close to the door and a ramp which is ideal for my aging parents. All of the staff from the people down in the lodge to the guys who look after the hot tubs, BBQ's and grounds are amazing friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need and have an amazing staying. The location at Cropton is perfect, so many destinations to visit whether you like, coastal areas, English Heritage properties, forest walks, zip wiring there is something for everyone. We love just chilling out on the decking area, watching the wildlife, listening to the rustle of the leaves and whether we are reading, chatting or even snoozing it is just idyllic. Each time we return to Cropton it is like going home again, even our dog gets excited as we turn into the end of the drive, as he recognises where he is. Having the on site retreat which delivers food and groceries to your door is so helpful, you simply order through the app, and select the time you would like your food delivered. It would be remiss not to mention that the food served in or from the retreat is always hot and tasty - just as it should be. If you haven't had a Forest Holiday, you haven't lived!

Blackwood forest stay, Hampshire The Cabine was dirty, with fur balls of other people's dog hair behind and under the sofa. Fur balls under the bed. Overall the cabin was rough around the edges with black mould in the shower, laminate flooring tiles with large gaps and splits, bedding was torn, bath robs provided had rips in them, where the bedroom had been repainted at some point you could see that they had not taken the pictures down and there was a 2-5mm gap around the frames where the old wall colour was visible. This is all a bit cheeky when they threaten to charge you up to £250 if you leave your cabin in a dirty unclean state. It all looks a bit tired and in need of a good makeover It cost me £150 to take my 2 dogs along. I travel a lot with my dogs and the most I've ever been charged until now is £50. However, i may concede to this I I saw any evidence that that money was used effectively for dogs. There were no dog bowls, no dog bedding or towels, and no evidence of any special deep clean recently, all I got was 2 dog poo bags and 2 dog biscuits. So where does that £150 go That said the location and experience was nice, I would go back but would make much more fuss about taking over my cabine next time however the act of complaining then having people come around clean and check it is all ok detracts from the relaxation you visit these sort of retreats for
