Elephant Insurance Tracking Order Status

Writing as third party following RTA. Elephant was the insurer of the person who bumped into me. They were excellent, efficient, fast and helped me enormously. My own insurer was useless and not contactable easily.

Have used Elephant for about 20 years. Generally the cheapest and have been ok. However, I've not been able to log into my account consistently for 10 years. I've told them to report the problem to their IT department every year and when I do, if I am lucky, I can log in for a month, then same problem again. I ask them to email my policy documents and have to phone up for that. The only way to contact them electronically is to make a complaint, which I did recently and I explained the problem and they responded using a 'noreply' email address that they would send me £30 as a goodwill gesture, but they still haven't sorted out the problem. I have tried everything, resetting the password, registering, neither works, despite my email address being on the policy documents. I noticed they removed the motor legal protection from the policy this year, had to pay an extra £25, despite the policy premium going up. I spoke to them again about the on line account issue and the advisor I spoke to was incompetent, could hardly be bothered to communicate properly and was rather unfriendly. He also declined to email the new policy documents to me, but said post was the only option besides waiting for IT to fix the problem with my account which to be realistic will never happen.

Someone stolen the catyalic converter from my car in Nov 2022. I told claims and they instantly said it was a right off.my excess was 250 and I lose 9 yrs no claims.they towed my car to iaa who actioned it. Elephant claims not called me once at at 2am they sent email offering 2500 - 1000 excess for car worth 4500 Then on app ot said 750 excess payout 2750.. I rejected both and want my car back. They now won't call me and fob me off saying system error. I want my car back. Theifs scammers and don't listen to customers. Tom Sam and Bradley in claims mis informed me snd just do what they want.. going to FCA... they taken 15 yes no claims off me....amd made me pay the remaining premium. Europeans teaching British how to be scums My details were stolen and they didn't tell me. Update...... Scott Hill called me and offered me a Solution... Good job.. took 10 calls holding for 1 hr each call amd Samuel bevan the only guy answers calls.... they let hackers steal details amd not told customers.

Never ended up needing to use them but they were very easy to sign up with. They had no issues cancelling, only annoying part was having to call them to cancel. I spoke with Debra who was most helpful

Their website doesn't work. When I login I just get redirected back and forth to the error page in a never ending loop. I've tried multiple browsers on my laptop and on my phone. It hasn't worked for ages. How embarrassing. However, I did receive some excellent customer support on the phone today regarding my renewal. I wish they would just hurry up and fix the website.
