Dulux Tracking Order Status

Bought Once Gloss to repaint already white skirted boards and doors. Hubby painted them and it took 2 coats. Not like it says in the tin. We noticed the guarantee and promptly sent off an email. Reply states send them 250ml wet sample through the post. At my expense. Will be refunded the postage if they deem it so. So Dulux promise is not worth the ink they printed the tin with and the Once is a marketing gimmick. Awful service Dulux and judging by your reviews here I'm not alone. Ref 2346475 MH UPDATE : Spoke to Helen who resolved this matter to my satisfaction. I really wish it had been Helen I spoke to originally. I am updating the review to reflect this. However still stand by the paint isn't ONCE to make others aware. Helen has recommended another one from the range going forward -trade Gloss. Thanks again Helen for seeing the logic in my request.

I’ve used Dulux paint for years and always thought it the best until my latest purchase, I decided to use white eggshell diamond white trade paint on all my woodwork throughout the home , after prepping correctly using two coats of undercoat & two topcoats of eggshell allowing the appropriate drying time between coats it looked wonderful, but now after three months the paint is peeling, every time you clean with a cloth the paint just rubs off. I am now having to do the whole paintwork again using a oil based paint, at 68 years old something I could do without

I was tempted away from my normal purchase of oil based Weathershield exterior gloss by the lure of the water based version, with the attraction of easy brush cleaning. The brushes do clean fairly easily in water but the ‘gloss’ finish really is poor; it’s closer to satin than gloss. I certainly won’t be using it again and feel that it should be made clear that the finish is significantly different between the two types of paint. Regards AG

Had issue with paint, rang them for advice and they were brilliant, refunded the paint and allowed us to buy another. Very helpful.

Update to my previous review. Dulux are very kindly sending me a voucher to spend at my local DIY store following my complaint. Many thanks, much appreciated.
