I bought the very expensive 'Made in England' Chelsea Boots. They were the most uncomfortable item of footwear I've owned - ripped the skin off my feet for months, if not a year. After a year the sole came apart from the welt, and I returned them under warranty. I was offered a pair of Vietnamese made boots as a replacement, with a statement that if I wanted the like for like replacements that I originally bought, I would have to pay the extra £40. I'm wearing the Vietnamese boots now - they have a stitching fault and they are uncomfortable. Not my first Dr Martins by any means, but my last!
